the name is Jean and i'm from Philippines & my fiance is from US. We are in-love for 3 years now and we are still getting stronger. I just got the supporting papers from my fiance and we are ready to get my interview schedule. I am excited and anxious at the same time about it. But i know after all these very long wait it will be all worth it. It will lessen our stress and release those tensions and anxiety waiting to be together.

uhm.. i have a question though. i already made a post about it but no one answered. like i said i am a newbie and so, i need time to browse around the site. Here's the thing, my parents and my little sister will be in our wedding in the US. does anyone here knows how we would work on the visa? what kind of visa they need? who must file the visa, the parents of my fiance or my fiance? how much are the filing fees or visa fee? what are the requirements?

anyway, thank you in advance.

Welcome to VJ. Your parents would need to file for a visitor's/tourist visa through the embassy in Manila. Because Manila is a high fraud embassy your parents must show ties to the Philippines which would include things like a good job, property and a business. You should look at the embassy website: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwhniv7.html

The visa fee is the equivalent of $131 each in many countries, probably also the Phils. The embassy is very strict and does deny visas to many eligible people, if there is even a hunch that they might try to stay in the U.S., especially your little sister.

OH MY! there would be no way my sister or my parents would stay in the US or even over stay for a 6-month tourist visa. She have a good life here with my parents. Besides why would a 12 year old kid stay in the US???
