Hi friends

Finally i got K3 visa and going to leave for usa next month...thanks to all of the vj friends for the encouragement during this long journey...my visa journey is as below

Interview Date: February 06, 2007

embassy remained silent for about 2 years....

Embassy contacted for new medical and police report: 16/01/2009

sent to embassy the requested reports: 22/01/09

embassy sent back the passport with visa stamped on through speedx(american express)...12/02/09

(this k3 visa issued is for about 10 months and expiring Dec:2009)

So now i am flying to usa next month and the point of entry(POE) is chicago(ORD)...i am just confused and afraid n a way from the immigration unit as the ask nonsense questions and try to create problems for u....some one told me to have a return ticket as they may ask for that as my visa is a non immigrant and is temporary....so suggest me friends what should i do?....i think i dont need a return ticket as i have now plans to return back soon...more my I-130 has already been approved by uscis and i am going to file for AOS once i get there....plz suggest me tips to deal witht the immgiration unit on the airport at chicago ....?...what type of questions they may ask me...and at points they would want me to be trick with me?.....any help will b deeply appreciated....thanks

:wow: Congrats Shah ... That was an extremely long time to be in AP. I am so happy for you both. I don't know much about POE cause we haven't gotten that far yet in this process. But I would think that you would only need a one way ticket home to your sweetie. Have a good trip and Welcome to the US. :luv:

peace

Congratulations! I am so sorry you had to have such a long AP. But I wish you a very smooth journey from now on. I really don't know about the return ticket. I never heard of this before.

Best of luck!

Congrats and I hope you guys enjoy a beautiful life together. (F)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
