expedite request Feb 10 , no sign since. good sign?

Hi

At VSC

we did an expedite request in December on I130 and got mail within 3 days saying no

we did another expedite request (on K3 and I130) on Feb 10, with an attorny

no sign since

(Attorney plans to call Wed 25th)

good sign?

I-129F NOA1 : 12-04-08 I-129F NOA2 : 05-14-2009 Took no action since

NVC

Case number assigned at NVC : 05-18-2009

Case Completed at NVC : 08-03

Interview scheduled: 08-13

Embassy

medical : done 08-17 + pick up 09-08

Interview Date: 09-08-09

Visa received : 09-11-09 valid till 03-10-10

October 10th entered US with Visa Waiver Program for 2 weeks holidays (not usual with visa received!)

had to go through secondary inspections to explain

November 25th entered again US with WVP, officer did not notice my green card visa

left US on dec 28 to avoid meeting the substantial presence test for IRS

Jan 9 2010 entered and activated green card though PHL port of entry

waiting for SSN requested with DS230 and 10 years GC

01-30 received tracking number for GC Welcome issued on 01-27

but not yet SSN

SSN expected by Feb 20 else I might go and ask for one regardless of DS230

GC expected by March 27

Feb 3 2010 update card ordered says to allow for 30 days

Feb 8 2010 update saying approval notice sent

Feb 12 2010 received GC card Permanent resident valid till 2020

Feb 18 2010 went to file ss5 for ssn card as not yet received and center would not find me in ssn files

Good Luck. I requested an expedite. It took a month and me bugging them to get my denial. tThey are SUPER strict on expedite guidelines.

what was the reason foe expediate request? Most time the reason isnt good enough unless u r married to usa military personnel, which will have much more chance of get approved.

Lawyer cant do much.

if i were u , i wouldnt use lawyer. save u some money.

if they didn't approve the I-130 they won't approve the I-129F...not sure why your lawyer made another request? Do you have new evidence to provide?

you can make a service request for your petitions. You can also get your congressional office involved. One would think it would put a flame under some a$$es but it doesn't seem to do anything.

I have an attorney and even he told me there is nothing he or any other attorney can do to speed up the petition approval. You can ask for an expedite but they are super strict. Waiting in line is what I do best these days. I went for an info pass appt hoping I could get some different info..... They had NOTHING to tell me except they can only see what I can see on the USCIS website.

I chatted with them for a good 30 minutes and got useful information about other things I was asking about but nothing that pertained to my petition. It was really frustrating... especially since I got a $78.00 parking ticket too.

Not a lot of hope with attorney but just doing everything we can.

I have been travelling to the states after petition, might continue this way but this is not good for our problem.

one idea I may ask attorney to consider.

My husband is actually now in state depending on CSC

would they move our petitions to accelerate them.

what was the expidite for? USCIS only gives expidites in very rare situations. and it has to be VERY rare...military deployment is the most common
