The citizen and immigrant must go to the interview. If both do not go the immigrant will go back to their country. If you are the immigrant and your wife is the citizen, you better do some major sucking up or pack your bags.

-Don't put up with any sh**. You can reschedule the interview (just ask the USCIS) and get an immigration lawyer.

You can contact Catholic Charities - they have immigration lawyers that might help you at not a huge expense ....

Make sure you get your hands on all the evidence possible of a bona fides marriage and put them in a safe place.

The lawyer will explain your rights and options.

Good luck!

A fight is common between husband and wife. If your wife really loves you, I believe she doesn't want you to get deported and leave the US. Why don't you try to have a conversation with your wife and solve the problems that you have? If that doesn't help, I think it might be help if both of you go to a marriage counseling.
