I am adjusting my status from F-1, i send everything that USCIS ever issued to me. Didn't get any RFE, it can't hurt if you do.

Why volunteer information they didn't ask? If you follow the AOS guide here and/or the filing instructions for the several forms, nowhere does it state that you need to send I-20. I took my I-20 to the interview, just in case they asked me questions regarding dates but nowhere doing the approval the I-20 was mentioned.

You are not "volunteering" anything, you are sending EVERY single document that they have ever issued. On the other hand, you are avoiding that a "picky" immigration officer might issue an RFE for not sending all the documentation. They do this because sometimes immigration officers write on the visas/I-94s/I-20's etc special codes if there was something wrong related to the immigrant.

It is better to be safe than sorry and "hope" they will not notice that you didn't send every document, besides what's the problem about sending everything? it's not like you are hiding something...

Seriously if you are not sure refrain from giving advice. Even if you were able to AOS on your own and by doing it your own way doesn't mean it's going to have the same effect on other people's cases.

TO ALL:

send as much evidence and documentation as you can, I've never heard a case that was denied because they sent "TOO MANY" documents but I've heard a lot that have been delayed because of the failure to send and show sufficient evidence.

I included all of mine in the packet. I agree with Tavo that sending in more information couldn't hurt, as opposed to not sending in enough information.

It worked for me coz I didn't get any RFE's.

I didn't included mine but the interviewer went ahead and made a copy of my last I-20. So I guess, it doesn't hurt to send a copy of the last one.

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.
