I have filled out my form I-130 and mailed it to the CSC, would there be any benefit to mailing in the I-129F in as well since the processing times are the same? also once the I-130 is approved, the form from USCIS says my wife can move here from Japan, but I have heard otherwise.

does anyone have some answers to point me in the right direction?

IF your wife is going to be moving the US and getting her greencard, then you should stick the CR-1 route. Mailing the I-129F will just make it longer for your application to get processed, since they are now approving the I-130 and the I-129F at the same time. Plus the I-129F will cose you more in the end.

Since you are at CSC, it may not slow you down much. when did you file the 130?

the k3 will potentially save you time at NVC and in scheduling the interview. But, in general you should sail through CSC with a CR1.

The CR1 is a "better visa" and will save you some headache after she arrivs here. but may take a little longer.

its totally up to you.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Only with embassy visa approval can your move to the US. Where did you "heard" she could move just with USCIS approval?

Be careful of things "heard" in this process.

Stick with the CR-1. MUCH better than theK3. Cheaper also.

Yes, you heard wrong. I would avoid filing the I-129F for a spouse these days. It has little potential to save time and is more likely to cost you time instead. A day or two ago, somebody reported an I-130 approved in 45 days.
