Hello everyone... I'm excited to go to an Oscar party. We all put money in, write down who we think will win, and whoever gets the most correct wins the pot! I hope I win this year but I haven't seen a lot of the movies so I'll be guessing on some! Hope you're all having a good weekend.

Sounds fun ! I am just having a few people over and making nachos and ordering Chinese. This is my superbowl Sunday !! I was thinking for next year it would be cool to organize a big party at restaurant, put gift bags together, sell tickets and donate the proceeds to a reputable charity Ryan Styles lives here, maybe I can get him to come

MMMM-Maglooba! I'd love it-can I brin the khubz? I'm getting rather good at making it! My kiddos have had a pretty good culture shock with my trips to Jordan!!! They think mom is CRAZY for eating "kh-kh-kh HHOOOBIZ" day in and day out, and thehouse ALWAYS smells of fresh bread before bed!!! I did have a freind from Egypt tell me that if I make it with milk instead of water it will be softer longer--think this time I may give it a shot! Talk to you soon!-Amy

What's that? similar to Falafel ? Costco has some pretty good Falafel balls

Noooo- its this uber yummy usually rotisserie, but can be baked, chicken in Jordan... I always just assume EVERYONE knows what it is... lol They usually (at least the way I have had it) put a quarter on a mound of rice with "egg planet" boiled right in... Then serve it with of course yogert and salat! lol-my fave. is cucumber tomato salat w/yogert mixed right in!!! and you can't forget the khubz!

the talk about food has been making me drool!!! im so hungry right now lol i even called hubby at work n told him we re going out to dinner tonight

i found out about the bombings from my mom when we talked this morning its so depressing!! they re furious in egypt; trying to figure out how they can prevent it!! its an open area hard to put check point or metal detectors

LOL!!! YEAH-- I meant EGGPLANT, but hubby called it eggplanet all the time I was there- it really cracked me up--He doesn't like egg planet! LOL I just can't help myself! But it was one of those slips that is just too cute not to share!

Coming back to the theme of the day - the Oscars ~~ Huge Jackman was brilliant and my favorite actress just won an Oscar - Congrats Penelope Cruz!!!! :dance:
