AOS filed Oct 2007 and STILL waiting

Is there anyone else out there who filed for Adjustment of Status in 2007 who is still waiting for the Greencard? My husband came here in August 2007 on a fiance visa, we married in Sept 2007, filed AOS in October 2007. In December 2007 we received a transfer notice saying that our case was being transferred to the California Service Center. He has been to biometrics and all of that, but no greencard, no interview, no nothing. Anyone else in the same boat or is something wrong here??? Please advise!

Make an infopass and ask them about the reason of why your husband's AOS has been sitting there almost 2 years.

Should I try to call someone first? We went to an infopass meeting once, but the people there didn't seem to be very helpful. They basically just told us what we already knew. Anyway, if that's the only option, I guess that's what we will have to do.

Is there anyone else out there still waiting????? Or is something wrong with our application?

I think you should make another Infopass meeting and try to convey to them that it has been TWO years

I have read some posts where people get their congressman/women involved in their case. I think you should also consider that option and find out who he/she is and write to him/her.

Perhaps there is NOTHING wrong with your application, it has just fallen through the cracks / is sitting on someone's desk... But don't jump to conclusions.

When was the last time USCIS contacted you via email / mail ?
