My wife has a renewed passport with married name after our applications were approved. With K3 route, when filling out the DS-230 form, which name to use? I understand that the visa will be issued based on passport name, but I am confused as to which name to use on the form.

Thanks for your help.

I would think it would be the new married name, and you would list her maiden name in the names used before section.

You should use your married name as it appears in passport for DS230. Yes, MC will suffie for name change.

That's what I have done for the DS-230 as well, used the married name in the passport, and the Marriage Certificate to support the name change.
