Not receiving a decision ...

Greeting:

long story short, I've filed I-130 for a family member and submitted additional material after that upon request. USCIS received those additional material on 11/21 last year and said they will get back to me within 60 days. So far I have not heard anything from them. Is this normal? Anyone has experienced this and what are the possible ways to follow up? I will call them up on Monday, but like to know other people's experience if possible.

It sounds normal enough - seems they accepted what you sent them and perhaps processing has resumed.

What are the specifics? Relationship of relative? Nature of the RFE?

The application is for my mom, and I am US citizen

here is what the USCIS says when I checked my case status online

"Application Type: I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

On November 21, 2008, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register."

So according to them, I should have received something by 01/21/2009 ...

Is it normal for them to be late or there is something wrong with case?
