Hi there, i was wondering if anyone can help me.

On the packet 3, it asks you for the date you have scheduled your medical for before you can send the checklist back. I live in the north of scotland, so going down to london is quite a big travel for me, so i was planning on waiting until i get the interview date and then scheduling the medical for the day before, so i could do both in one trip.

my question though, is does the embassy wait to hear back from your medical before they will schedule your interview? i haven`t heard back since posting in my packet 3 yet and i was justy worried that maybe they are waiting for me to take my medical before they will schedule me for my interview.

can anyone tell me if they know whether or not this is a factor? or do they just schedule the interview regardless of when the medical will be taken? is the medical even taken into consideration?

if anyone knows any information on this, or if anyone has had any experience with this, please let me know any advice or help would be really appreciated.

thanks a lot.

You can schedule your interview now and send back your check list, you can reschedule your medical for a more suitable date later.

However if you do your medical the day before you can get approval pending receipt of the medical results. The results will definately not be available for the interview if it is the next day as they have to send off your blood for testing.

Yep. Youre completely fine doing the medical the day before. As I was only able to get one day off work, I actually had my medical after my interview on the same day (interview was at 9.30, medical was at 2.30). My visa was therefore approved pending my medical results. As I was in no rush to get my visa, the extra few days I waited for my visa to arrive was worth having everything done in one day.

Hi there,

I also live in the north of Scotland and I figured that I would just go down for the medical and interview in one trip. Luckily I have a sister and good friends in London so staying there is never a problem. But I panicked and arranged my medical for 20th Jan, so I've had it. I needed to come home and get a tetanus booster and screening for immunity to mumps so I'm kinda glad in a way that I didn't leave it to the last minute before my interview. I'm also glad that you have confimed exactly what packet 3 is! Don't know about you but I find all the different numbers and letters abbreviations confusing as hell!

I sent back my checklist at the end of January and I'm now waiting (impatiently) for my interview date. It freaks me out that they haven't been in touch at all so I hope they received my checklist coz all this waiting sucks.

I hope everything works out for ya.
