Sorry I don’t know the answer to this I wish people would just answer the question

And save the remarks for the off topic forum :D

When I find my magic genie I will make sure you get your wish. :D

It might be easier if criminal types would explain their questions to non criminal types to save us from googling. That will be my wish. I hope the genie has a lot of wishes for me.

When posting a topic about criminal activity, especially something like driving under the influence it might be best to use words instead of acronyms because most of us have not been convicted of such things.

I also don't think someone who drinks and drives is put through a ringer, it was self inflicted.

Maybe you should quit scolding the rest of us for poking fun at you and concentrate on not getting dui's. Those bad 'old police officers that pulled you over and gave you a ticket for dui when you were obviously just trying to get home after a night on the town. Sorry, as the poster above stated YOU ARE NOT A VICTIM. Now, get off you A$$ and get some help with your drug problem before you bring your fiancee into your mess. She deserves better than being in a car when you actually don't get pulled over by the police but by the semi going down the road. The best thing you can do for your fiancee is NOT fill out the K-1. I hope she knows what she is getting into.

Christ on a crutch, he said "the hell I'VE PUT MYSELF THROUGH", which doesn't sound to me like he's playing the victim. You have no idea if he's been through treatment, or what his current circumstances are. Don't be so judgemental.

Sorry, but I did not realize that people slammed the heck out of someone when they were trying to get information. I am sure we all have done things we are not proud of in our lifetime. There are three sides to every story: Yours, Mine, and the TRUTH. We have not walked in the other person's shoes and do not know all of the circumstances. I hope when I ask a question that the ones who respond are trying to give me good information. If you want to slam me, then please PM me. I will be happy to respond. I do not see any benefit of jumping on someone in this forum. I think our goal is to find information for our particular circumstances and to give good advice to others that have questions to whom we can contribute remarks. I hope you all have a great day and Happy Father's Day to the fathers out there.

John,

When someone posts they have basically had not one, not two but 3 D.U.I.'s and who knows how many underage violations as he did not go into the details I'm supposed to show compassion? Now I have two questions for you John. How would you feel if the OP were trying to marry your daughter and start a family as it is after all Father's day. Are you going to give your blessing to this union? Would you show compassion and understanding because he only had two convictions and the rest were just PBJ's? How would you feel if your wife encountered this fool on the road today and did not make it home for dinner? I know these are all hypothetical but someone who drinks and drives is not just endangering there life but every person on this board who has a SO. Now imagine this poor girl from Poland who probably has no idea what she is getting into and is ready to trust in him to take care of her and live a long and happy life together. I just hope that the U.S.C.I.S. sends this guy a thank you but not thank you letter. I believe John you would not let this gentleman marry your daughter with his past background. Would that be correct? Maybe I would feel better if he had said he was sorry or that he has been clean for 20+ years and does not touch alcohol or drugs anymore. There seemed to be no remorse in any of his postings. Just a desire to get around the system. That is all he is concerned about. As far as his comment "the hell I've put myself through" that is only true because he was stopped before he could put someone else through hell by not staying sober.

Speaking as someone in recovery, there's nothing that annoys me more at this stage in my life than someone who feels the need to saddle up his or her high horse and start lecturing on sobriety. Why should he apologize on these boards? You don't know if he's made his peace with anyone he may have harmed, and nor is it any of your concern. Another poster started a thread about a prior conviction for prostitution, and everyone on that thread was supportive and understanding. No one felt the need to be self righteous about it. He asked for some practical advice, and he shouldn't be made to jump through hoops to get it.

I don't care if he drinks himself into oblivion or you for that matter. I do have a problem with "DRIVING" while under the influence not once or twice but 3 times. He should be in jail and NOT on a computer. Are you that obtuse? Quit being so politically correct and making excuses for him.
