Hi all. I still lurk about. I enjoy reading everything. Hubby and me are fine. We are just now applying for aos because we wanted it close to our 2 year anniversary. Hubby is adjusting well here...although he is very outspoken about how people should raise their kids and about how some dress here. He wants to tell boys to pull up their pants and girls to button their shirts. haha and he thinks he is whispering when he is really loud enough for others to hear. My family really loves him and he has filled a gap in our family since my brother was killed. My mother and nieces adore him so much i get jealous but Im so happy they love him and he really took over the role of man of the house with my whole family. He means business when he said he wants our whole family to prosper physically and spiritually. he got my mother, brother and his wife and his kids to start studying the bible and going regularly to our congregation. ive been trying for 10 years for that, but we are just God's coworkers and I like to think I planted some seeds and my husband came along to water them and now Jehovah is making them grow. he took over the roll as big brother to my younger brother and is being an example on how to be a good husband, brother and son. my brother is really changing by God's grace and my husband's counsel.

He got his drivers license and is working and going to school. There have been some culture clashes but I think it is more we have the same stubbornness about us but with the Bible's help we put those things to rest quickly. I hope everyone's journey will have success. I read somewhere on this site that one of the ways to spot a scam is that he is not as sweet as when you were dating, I laughed because isnt that how ALL men are? even us women. A comedian once said that he really respected charles manson for one thing...at least with him you know he is crazy when you meet him but women are another creature and show who they are after the i do's. :) my husband actually is less sticky sweet but more considerate and there is a deeper love and respect we have for each other now than before. its not really how much you have in common but how you handle the differences that matters. "and thats all I got to say about that"....Forest Gump

thanks everyone :) it hasnt been easy but if you are patient and commited to your marriage the bumps smooth out and of course as God as the middle cord that you and your spouse revolve around, you can succeed. Uno I dont know about leading by example, I mean, sometimes I want to go praying mantis on him  but most of the time I love him.

It is wonderful to hear from you. Your story is wonderful and kind of sounds similar to ours. Isn't it amazing that the Bible crosses all cultural divides?
