ha GS, its takes alot of "

"'s to get it down right

here's my hug smiley:

((((fill in name here)))) hee

off to call my hubby

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Hello darlings!

Glad to see everyone posting. Today is..ah! Yesterday was better. Went by faster.

You all made me laugh! I also haven't been feeling too hot. I keep feeling nauseas and like Tucho, my mom insists I'm pregnant. Even though I have an IUD, have had 2 cycles, and even took a test to appease her (which was negative) - she still thinks I'm pregnant. Can wishful thinking make someone pregnant? Cause if it can, I think I'm in trouble! LOOOOL I personally don't want kids but everyone in my family keeps bugging me about it. I refuse to be pressured into motherhood LOL Besides, I'm too paranoid about aging and gaining weight. Bad enough struggle with my weight now. You can't diet away stretch marks and saggy skin, which with my luck, would be exactly what would happen to me.

Crying? Oh I didn't know that was abnormal. It's pretty much my new normal, to cry everyday. As a matter of fact, I think my eyesight has gotten really bad in this last year. I am planning on an eye doctor's appointment soon. I really think it's from the crying...what do you think?

Steve, I love the pics! You look like a professional wrestler LOL Actually you remind me of "stone cold" Steve Austin.

Well last night I had the worst sleep, if you can call it that. I think I was wired on the cholcolate LOL So today I'll be more careful...eat chocolate now instead of later :P:lol:

Well only a few more hours till Monday. Let's see what Monday brings!!! I'll be seeing everyone later tonight on facebook.

GS, thank you for the compliment. Ksenia is very pretty, but she is even more beautiful on the inside. She is an amazing woman and we really have a great connection. She has a golden heart.

Thanks for wondering about my health too. I went in to the doctor on Friday to get checked out. The EKG says my heart is fine, but my blood pressure was 178/127. Dangerously high. So the doc put me on some high does BP medicine and also gave me some Lexapro to try to help my system handle all this stress.

Jen, you sound a little like my Ksenia. She keeps telling me she has so much love to give to another child. Mine are all grown and I was not planning on another little one. But when you fall in love with a younger woman, especially from a culture where children are the most important thing in life, well it looks like I'm going to be a dad again ;)

Narina ... I actually get the Stone Cold Austin reference quite a bit :P I don't look that good, it's just that Ksenia is so pretty she makes the pictures look better :P

Well only a few more hours till Monday. Let's see what Monday brings!!! I'll be seeing everyone later tonight on facebook.

AHHH NARINA.... That is why I didn't tell anyone about how i feel ( only my friends on VJ) either they talk SH!T or they make up stories. SO I keep my mouth shut.

I don't want to sound like I am pressuring you into motherhood but my personal experience is that my kids are the very best things that EVER happened to me and I can't imagine life without them. There is no other love in the world. I thank God everyday for giving them to me. Even with Julia's tumor, I wouldn't trade any of it. The only thing I would change is marrying my ex-husband. But hinde sight is 20/20. I won't go there.

I have been a paranoid freak my entire life about my weight. I always went back to my pre-pregnancy body afterwards. I don't know what will happen now that I'm so freakin' ancient .. But I don't care. I love my husband and it would all be worth it to me.

Im kinda bumming out because Tucho is suffering with some kind of infection in his mouth... He has antibiotics BUT he can't talk. His mouth is really hurting him. He just told me he needs to go to the hospital but he doesn't have anyone to take him because they are so far up the mountain. He can't drive his motorcycle himself. He sounds horrible. Times like these make me crazy. I wanna be there with him to take care of him. I feel helpless.

Medical care in CR isn't like it is here. UGHHHHHH.

Jen you're so funny :jest: Next thing you know, you all will be posting on some "expecting a baby" forum

I know what you mean though...when my husband was sick awhile back, I felt terrible. I couldn't even be there to take care of him. It's like, I'm his wife and it's my duty to take care of my poor baby! I can't even do that! Such a terrible feeling!!! Well after that, when I visited with him, I made sure to bring lots of medicines, and comfort things (like a nice robe, slippers, and some natural/herbal throat drops and stuff). I figured if he got sick again, he would at least have those things there with him. He actually did end up using them later.

Steve, do you have an online account set up with USCIS? I'm only asking because maybe the address change is causing a delay in mail delivery??It would suck to know you had an approval, but got it so much later because of a mailing address issue!!!

Yea I feel like the worst wife ever. I just talked to Tucho's Cousin. She only lives 2 houses away. She said she went to see the baby and asked where Tucho was. Tucho's sister said he was in the house sleeping. It was around 2pm Costa Rica time. He must feel really bad because Jessica said it is really a nice day. Really hot there. UGHHHH my heart... I wanna be there !!!

Narina, When I go to Costa Rica I always take two big suitcases and my carry on backpack with my laptop. In one suitcase is my stuff. The other suitcase is full of medicine and clothes and stuff for Tucho and his mom and sisters. It only costs me $25.00 for the extra bag instead of $130.00 to send a box.

I get all the J&J products for dirt cheap so I stock up while I am home and I take it with me when I go. The only thing I won't bring is infant tylenol or any infant meds because the label is not in Spanish and I won't take the responsibility if they overdose the baby. I used to work in the pharmacovigilance dept and I used to see so many adverse events come thru about people who killed thier kids because they didn't dose them according to the instructions. And these were english speaking people reading english instructions.

How are all the weekends going?

I just got back of the last Carnaval parade for this year

And I Am ROASTED!!!!

As for my status, crying everyday

because of my husbands working hours we still haven't send the AOS & IV package

AND why i really don't like 16 year old or younger getting pregnant and can't take care off the baby

I wish I was roasted like a lobster!! Sooooo jealous! I wonder how much easier this would have been if I were on an island like Aruba. I guess not that much but still better than the boring and cold cold EAST COAST!

I can imagine your frustration. I am the USC and glad I call all the shots! I would freak out if my fate was in someone else's hands...but it technically is :bonk: cz our fate is in those files and who knows if they are being used as coasters or propping up wobbly tables up in Vermont

My husband and I also wish to have a baby girl soon. We both never had any children. I have never gotten pregnant so I wonder if I can. We are both not that young anymore either. I am 32, he is 38 so the clock is ticking :clock: and who's to say when we can get to work on making that happen  Hmmmmm I found another reason to include in the letters we plan on sending to Washinston:

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Please revise this K3/CR1 process and make it happen faster cz some of us ain't getting any younger and the clock is ticking

He he ...imagine if that actually worked. We can still dream, can't we?

yeah to top it clock is ticking too maybe 4 year window, i"m 31 he's 40

Thank you Jen  I hope Ksenia doesn't read this ... just more ammo for the "we need to have a little Steve" conversation

I'm sorry about Tucho. When the distance is so much and all you can do is talk, I'm sure that is making things harder for you right now. I'm sure he knows you would give anything to be there to make him feel better. We all wish him a fast recovery.

Does anybody else go through this too? I mean, I can deal with my pain most of the time, but man, when Ksenia is showing me how much she is hurting, it kills me even more. Being Ukrainian, she really does everything she can to hide showing her painful emotions, but when they show, damn I want to be on a plane right then! I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about.

Steve, do you have an online account set up with USCIS? I'm only asking because maybe the address change is causing a delay in mail delivery??It would suck to know you had an approval, but got it so much later because of a mailing address issue!!!

Thanks for asking Narina. Yes, I check our status online several time per day. The USCIS also has my correct address in the system. I'm wondering if because there is actually 2 petitions, Ksenia's and Sasha's, that might cause things to slow down a bit ...

GS ... you are still young! ;) You and hubby just need to get "lots of practice" in when he gets here :P I hope it works out for you!

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd check in for the first time today. It's been a thrilling day of running errands in the rain. I have a raging headache too, but got to talk to Diego on the phone, so I can't complain too much. Business was good today and his crabby brother was slightly more tolerable than usual, so he was in a good mood. Tomorrow he is going to San Jose to work on getting some docs certified. It may be a while before we get our apporval, but we want to have all the CR1 stuff ready and will hopefully flip things from a K3 to CR1.

Lisa, Jen is right. There are lizards to spare in Costa Rica. Outside of my husband's cafe there is one that comes and begs like a dog. If one drop of smoothie or a piece of lettuce hits the ground, he's all over it. I think they even have a name for him by now.

Jen, Tell Tucho no matter what, go to a private dentist. The free public ones will not do any repairs, but just pull the tooth. There is good medicine in Costa, just not the free kind. When Diego broke his wrist (yes, one day before our wedding, he fell from 2 stories stringing lights at my request- still feel guilty on that one), we took him to the Clinica Biblica and the treatment was excellent. BUT this a private hospital. The whole deal (x-ray, consult with ortho surgeon, cast and meds) came to about $200. On the other hand, we just had a friend who went to have her tubes tied at the public clinic and they cut her from hip bone to hip bone. Diego said it was horrifying.

K3 Interview 05/20/2009

Biometrics 04/28/2010 (assigned appt. date is 5/17/10, but we did an early walk-in with no problems!)

I-485 Interview 09/13/2010 (originally set for July, but had to reschedule, since we were in Europe then)

Waiting on GC to come in the mail!!!

He is home suffering. I think he is worried about driving the motorcycle by himself all the way down the mountain tothe hospital. I don't know how to tell him "private dentist" so he understands. I am waiting for him to call me. He couldn't talk earlier. He was in too much pain. UGHHHH this language barrier sux sometimes. I'm not sure what hospital is in Acosta. I know there is a dental clinic there because I've seen it but I don't know if it is private. I don't care about the cost. I would rather have them fix the problem then pull the tooth.

My sister-in-law had a c-section 6 years ago in Costa Rica. ( her first baby) they cut her vertically from the belly button to the pelvic bone. They did a really crappy job. I had 3 c-sections here, all cut on the same scar and the they only cut me about 8 inches at the most below the bikini line. I can wear a bikini and you can't even tell I had a c-section.
