Today I received my approval second notice of my K1 visa request. (From California)

under 90 days.

The secret!!

Is to read and apply all the information from visajourney

ESoll

Congratulations on your quick approval

Not so sure I agree with you about "The Secret." Many people read and apply the information, but don't get approved in 90 days.

My theory is it depends on what USCIS worker has your paperwork in his or her stack. Some fast workers may get through their stacks faster than average, while some workers move slower.

Which USCIS branch is coming from makes a difference too .... California is tearing thru theres especially in Oct wereas Vermont was really slow in Oct as you can see in the progress threads ... we got ours just over the 90days if go by the date the on the letter, if we go by the date they stamp it was done it was right on the 90 days ... I hope Vermont also got new employees. I noticed from looking at Igor's list that the # of people who've been sending petitions to VSC is much higher than those sending to CSC. I know when I submitted mine, I was #453 on the VSC list, but if I could've submitted to CSC, I would've been a couple of hundred numbers lower! :crying:

I see so many articles about how the # of people applying for Visas has increased so much AND the fees went up in 2007. To me, that means the gov is getting a LOT more money, and should've significantly increased the # of employees the same % as the increase in petitions.

:ot2: Enough ranting. Again, congratulations ESoll!
