Regarding all the "touches" that people refer to in this forum, am I correct in assuming that you are getting this info only from the USCIS website via logging on or email??? Or, is there another place that people are getting this info from???

Sign up here you will need your receipt number that is on your NOA1 (I-797C, Notice of Action) or it can be found on the check cashed by USCIS if you have not received your NOA1

Right - we are seing the date change on the online case status that we obsessively check many many times each day.

They don't generally send out emails to say they've looked at the case - only when something major has happened like they've transferred it to another service center.
