I'm beginning to rethink the goverment corruption in Russia as possibly a good thing. At least their you can PAY (bribe) someone to not get screwed. Here you get screwed and there is nothing you can do about it. That our goverment works for the people is a happy childhood illusion. In truth they work for themselves almost always against us.

Well.. I beg to differ... it can be used by someone with a private interest to get you. Think about it. It does happen on a regular basis.

I think when I fear being in a recalled case, it´s because usually when the Consulate return a petition is because they found a fraud in the process.

It wouldn´t surprise me if USCIS made a mistake of putting some of us in one of those long security checks. That´s why I´m worried about none of us getting a RFE yet.

Someone started this thread about returned petitions (I didn´t get much) but I´d like to hear from you guys what you think..

wow. you guys are busy. can i give some advice?

chill out! i know it's easier said than done but i just read 5 pages of posts and you guys are all over the place. has anyone bit the dust yet?

as for the rovocation due to fraud, i do not believe that applies to us. they (USCIS, NVC) know the new law. they know the petitions. all were recalled due to the law. i am not going to worry about fraud revocation rumors.

also, the current RFE's that are going out are for NOA1's. there are many reasons for RFE's after an NOA1 not just IMBRA. i believe that those RFE's might just pertain to other application requirements that have not been met.

and after all the info i have gotten from here and other sources, the recalled petitions are first in line. but i am not expecting this to resolve quickly due to the info as well. but i do believe pressure is key - on all parties concerned - NVC, CIS, DHS, congress, press - so keep it up.

and a request. this thread was started for info on recalled petitions. can we keep it to info only? it is difficult to read all the other stuff going on in here and find real info. sorry to be a whatever but we really need to prevent speculation form screwing with us. look at the IMBRA thread that is at 90+ pages. how can anyone come out of that sane?

thank you ll for being here and sharing necessary info.

cheers!

I really hope for all of us that these are simply rumors and that USCIS will in fact do the honorable thing and process the recalled petitions first. I do not care when or how the RFE goes out, as long as they get to us. The thought of this process and waiting starting all over again is too much to bare :(

I called Vermont and USCIS this morning, Vermonts automated system said that their system is curretly not working so no information could be given on my case, and I couldnt hit a key to speak to a rep this time. Then USCIS just simply said that the RFE's are in the process of being sent out. I asked him about the order being kept and he KIND of said they will go according to the notification dates, but when have they ever known the truth?

Yeah, I couldn´t get through as well.

Should we try later? I think only Vermont will give us information about recalled petitions, since they all come from there.

Here are some easy ways to put more pressure on the agencies responsible for this mess:

Contact your congresspeople

Contact and write to the media

Submit an expedite request

Contact your consulate, NVC and USCIS (this last one is the hard part) ;)

On a personal level, I dealt with it by doing most of the above. The USCIS happens to be the least helpful of the bunch and it does not seem like that will change. Even if I do get through, I still don't put much trust in what they say.

I understand that people are impatient with this process, everyone has a story and handles it differently. I'm also upset about it but I refuse to let that slow me down and get disouraged.

I just hope that people that contribute to this thread understand that it's purpose was to share new info on NOA2s and come up with positive and constructive strategies to deal with this situation.

We need to get in touch with Vermont today!

If we get information from them, would be the fastest way to know about our situation.

I´ll be trying again right now, but would like to ask you guys to do the same.

They are still sending RFE to people with NOA from May! Someone else just got an email.

Wat about us with the NOA2?

I´ll post here if I´m lucky.

Here is what I have to share so far:

Called Vermont - No record of having recieved the application

Called USCIS - No record of having recieved the application, suggested I write them a letter

What confuses me further is the USCIS representative said she didn't expect them to be sent to the NVC but straight to the processing center (Vermont). Some have reported confirmation from the NVC that their application went there. So where are the embassy's sending this stuff, to NVC or USCIS? The letter from my consulate clearly states it's the NVC.

It goes from Embassy to NVC to USCIS.

Guys, I´m pissed off. Really am.

People from JUNE are getting RFEs sent out!

I´d be ok with that if we had ours as well!

Their automated system still doesn´t work!
