Hello VJers!!!

Just a couple of questions really quick. First, now since we are just waiting for the AOS and DS230 to be completed at the NVC and receive our interview letter, do we HAVE to wait for that letter to arrive or I can go head and try to set an appointment for my wife in Kenya with Dr. Asuga (the only female doc, right?)?

Secondly, what is this packet 3 or 4 that I keep coming across VJ? Is it something I need to fill out or my wife? And when do we fill out and to whom is it send to? And where do we obtain a copy from?

Thank you guys. You have been extremely helpful and very much appreciated.

Hope to hear from you soon.

in Peace

I think in Nairobi all you need is the NVC case number but someone correct me if I am wrong. You may need some other paperwork indicating when your interview is. Keep in mind the expiration of the medical.

Packet 4 is typically the interview letter. Not all countries follow this though.

Thank you guys. You have been extremely helpful and very much appreciated.

Hope to hear from you soon.

:)

But who receives it - petitioner or the beneficiary? So I am assuming that packet 3 is pertaining to the beneficiary/petitioner's history of health, surgery, etc? Can it be picket up by my wife instead of having them send it? And again, if I give them the case number (begins with three letters, right?) they will and should be able to go head and schedule an appointment for my wife over the phone? But what if the NVC has not send the documents to the embassy? And btw, what about forms like ds156 or something like that?

Thank you once again. Take care and in Peace.

Packet 3/4 are either mailed to the beneficiary or they go to the embassy to pick it up. It is just information, like where to get the medicals done and what other documents are needed for the interview. It will also list what other forms the beneficiary should bring to the interview.

As for scheduling the medical, I would try asking in this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=160251

They have a lot of information about going through Nairobi

Good luck :)
