Oh, what I meant to write was to hurry up and put in your requests. The last time they did the 6 month thing, literally a day or two later, they changed the processing times again, and I remember people who were over 6 months, were still later than the new date they posted and couldn't put in the requests anymore. Lisa was one of them, I think. Lisa, remember that? It was like in September/October I think. I think the whole 6 month thing never lasts long.

Guys,

My NOA says USCIS in Vermont processed my I129F September 16th 2008. If I do the math am I considered outside the processing date since they are now working on Dec 31st 2008? I called a couple days ago and was told I needed to wait 6 months before they would look into the matter for us. That would be March 16th 2009. What do you think?

thanks

Im sorry, but no..the dates are "updated dec 31st" they are actually working on 129f's dated in May(?) according to them. they are ACTUALLY working on june-aug according to the approvals that people are getting here.

VJ, of course is only a tiny percentage of the total petitions at the service centers, but when its consistent..one can imagine that its pretty much across the board.

Hang in there... they are SLOWLY picking up the pace and hopefully you wont have to wait 7-9 months liek some of us did :)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Hmmm ... We are exactly at the 6-month mark on my I-130 (as of today). I don't expect anything to come out of it but I will call them on Monday anyway. Filing the I-129F is the biggest mistake we made  especially since we have decided to go with CR-1 anyway (no way am I putting up with USCIS again for AOS !).

Well if you're from Morocco, your chances of getting put into AP are like 99% anyway...so in the end, the month or two you saved aren't going to make a difference

it can be true for moroccan husbands but i've never heard of a moroccan wife put into AP; If approved the visa is issued the following day after the interview or within a week  my husband is USC and i'm moroccan

You know atually that's my theory: That the reason it always says updated as of (DATE OF 2 MONS AGO as in this time as of DEC31st) is exactly that! Imagine how many people would call if they knew they were out of processing time already like we happen to know b/c we're on VJ. Had I not found this site, I would have thought I still need to wait 3 mons for my turn to arrive :bonk: but I have to agree with Lisa that this way they only get a certain number of phone calls requesting the service review as opposed to hundred thoudands  But they didn't count on us VJ suckers  We -unlike those relying solely on the USCIS website- know something others don't know about (that there have always been approvals past the date posted on their utterly outdated website)

Remember, your priority date changes to the NOA1 for the K-3 when you have both. My CR-1 is out of date range but the K-3 is not. They put in a service request anyway.... so with that said...... When they tell you they can't put a service request in and their computer sytem won't let them... they are full of #######. The first rep I talked to gave me ####### so I hung up on her and called right back. I got what I wanted form the second rep. It all depends on who you get on the phone.

Being on VJ gives us a leg up on what dates are being processed. Thank god they are working on July.

You need to count your days from your NOA1 notice date....Look at the timeline on my signature and u will see. We are past 6 mons for I 130 and they accepted a service request on that one yesterday when I called but could not put in one for my K3 (cz the date on that one is AUG 12 and they :lol:are processing May 12...but like Lisa said we know they are past MAY cz that was as of DEC 31st ;)

For K3 it's May 12 according to their website (but we know better here on VJ :secret: ).

Jen you should be next!! Like I said your service request should make VCS look at your file lying under that wobbly table and say "Wait a minute this one is getting old, let's replace it with one fresher and more firm ) and then hopefully they will replace it with my file and since I called after u called they will move mine behind yours on top of the pile ...hehe I am having so much fun picturing this? Are we going insane?? I think instead of meeting our loved ones at the airport, they should fly us in at the asylum directly or have grief/stress/whatever couselors there waiting for us  ) This whole thing has been a pretty traumatic experience!
