I still see members who haven't filled in their timelines. I find the statistics from these as very useful, especially to new members and members entering a new phase of the process.

Is there possibly a way to link new members (I know, maybe they don't have anything to report yet) to the timeline data entry screen or at least tickle them periodically?

My two cents worth

I agree...and no matter how many times you ask them or remind them to fill in their timelines, they ignore you and dont do so.

Not sure if I am posting in the right place...but I have been looking at this approval for the past month now....on the VJ list for the Last 15 approved from CSC (K-1) there is still one from January 12 09....but because the month of January is entered as 1 instead of 01 its still up there, above all the February approvals for K-1 . Can a moderator fix this please? Thank you!

I used to look at the stats a lot for each phase we were in so the more members update the stats the better.

It is very annoying to say the least.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I agree that it is helpful for others to be able to analyze immigration trends through analysis of collective timelines, and of course the larger the subset the better. But there are some who have their own reasons why they don't want to fill out their timelines. Nagging them isn't going to change their mind, nor does it make them a bad person for not participating. People have their own reasons for not participating, and that should be respected, or at least tolerated.

Having said that, I do think the interface for filling out your timeline should be easier to find. Probably the biggest reason for people not filling out their timeline is that it's not obviously intuitive where the link to do that is. It should be link on the profile page.

Our timeline actually took a bounce backward in time this morning. We were looking at March 4th thru 12th for N0A2 and then a half hour later it was April 4th thru April 23rd. Our N0A1 was 8-Dec-08 so the April date looks more possible. Ahhh the joys of relying on others to update their own timelines.

We've got a couple a few up from us on Igor's list that has 2 accounts with two different NOA1 dates. Thats where I was first tipped off that Igor sorts on the date the I-129F was sent vs when people are are accepted into the system. (N0A1)

Just venting,

Yeah, the timeline for us changed a lot today too! Yesterday it was between March 5 and March 9 and changed to April 1 to April 20. Not only did it move back several weeks but the spread of days went from 5 to 20. Seems odd.

Also, it says that the CSC is processing cases submitted on Oct 27 but there are also stats that show that about 60% of applications submitted in November have been approved. It makes no sense to me. I realize these are all estimates based on submitted data but some things don't seem consistent.

Having said that, I will be overjoyed if we get approval in April.
