I think the're waiting for all of the expats to return their red pencils.

what did you have to do to register yourself as a Belgian living abroad? Did you wait until you had your greencard? I just moved here and still kept my domiciliation in Brussels, not to mention that I didn't even register my marriage in Belgium yet. Any advice would be more than welcome!

hello,

we just started the proces. nice to see there are more belgians :)

does it cause problems to keep your domicilation in belgium? can you also keep you social security there then (at least for a while??)? and if you dont register your marriage in belgium does that mean you stay officially single (just coming out of university that would mean my parents keep their child support for another 9 months)

Hi everyone,

Just found this Belgian thread and thought i'd say hi.

We have applied for a K-3 and are now waiting for the first step to be completed at USCIS level.

For those of you that already went through the Consulate: how was this? Does the interview take long? Are they very strict?

groetjes

Cat

2 years later, i still have to register at the Consulate in L.A. ! I'm just so annoyed by all their requests for "notarized" copies, "certified" copy of marriage licence.. I'll have to go to City Hall for this, take some time off work...

But hey, we all have so many days of vacation here in this country, i can afford a few hours..:lol:
