Hi just looking to see if anyone can answer me some questions I have:

ok this is silly but on I-485-Part 3-'your mother's first name' is it first name or last name(family name). I think is last name but First throws me off.

and for I-130 question 22-"Your relative is in the US and will apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident at the USCIS office in:" then it asks for the city and state. Is it Lincoln, Nebraska where I'm supposed to send the papers or is it some local office. (I live in N. Las Vegas). Then it asks about if its denied then you will apply to the American consular post in--I say where it is in the country(I know it's silly but just wanted to make sure). and related with I-130, I'm sending I-130 together with I-485(and others) so I will be sending them to Nebraska all of them right and not to different places(I live in Nevada and I'm supposed to send the I-485 to Nebraska but the I-130 says to send it to Chicago [i believe?] if alone). Also question 19 address abroad. I live here so do I live it blank? N/A? also should I write N/A for all the ones that I'm not putting anything or live it blank

thanks

Answered your questions below in bold red. Feel free to ask back in case of any further confusion. Thanks

Hi just looking to see if anyone can answer me some questions I have:

ok this is silly but on I-485-Part 3-'your mother's first name' is it first name or last name(family name). I think is last name but First throws me off.

A : First name .... means not the family name ...her 1st name.... e.g. if its Nicole Burnett.... you wd write Nicole.[/color]

and for I-130 question 22-"Your relative is in the US and will apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident at the USCIS office in:" then it asks for the city and state. Is it Lincoln, Nebraska where I'm supposed to send the papers or is it some local office. (I live in N. Las Vegas). A: Ok this is a common confusion. You wd always send all you papers in one envelope to the following address :

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services P.O. Box 805887 Chicago, IL 60680-4120

For private couriers (non USPS) deliveries:

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Attn: FBASI 427 S. LaSalle - 3rd Floor Chicago, IL 60605-1098

Now for line 22 it asks for your local office..... just write the state and city. You can find out the local office here. Just put your zipcode to find out

https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of....office_type=LO

Then it asks about if its denied then you will apply to the American consular post in--I say where it is in the country(I know it's silly but just wanted to make sure).

A: Its always good to ask...i also ask everything here. If your relative/spouse is already in usa ( which i suppose is as you posted in AOS from tourist/student visa) while you are applying you do not apply for this . Leave it blank.

and related with I-130, I'm sending I-130 together with I-485(and others) so I will be sending them to Nebraska all of them right and not to different places(I live in Nevada and I'm supposed to send the I-485 to Nebraska but the I-130 says to send it to Chicago [i believe?] if alone).

A: all to chicago as i have given above.

Also question 19 address abroad. I live here so do I live it blank? N/A? also should I write N/A for all the ones that I'm not putting anything or live it blank

A: they are asking the address of the non-USC here. His/her home address in his/her country. If you see section C its asking about alien relative.

thanks

sorry for double posting but I forgot to ask something(and for some reason it doesn't let me edit my previous post). For the Affidavit of Support to whom should I make the check to? This what is says "Although USCIS does not charge a fee for this form, the Department of State does charge a fee of $70 when the Affidavit of Support is reviewed domestically." So to the Department of State?

Ok regarding whther you shd send two packets or one .... I am not really sure .... you have to Im senior members here like YuAndDan or Pushbrk or someone else to know that .

Regarding checks ....... Checks should be attached to the VERY FRONT of the applications and made payable to "U.S. Department of Homeland Security"
