I am not happy about it but my fiance had an abortion before. Will they give her any trouble about this at the medical exam or the interview?

Thank you

I think they will not know it if you will not going to tell on the Medical Exam at SLEC.

Got one friend who had abortion before but she passed the Medical Exam at SLEC.

Good Luck

Do they count it against you if you had one? She should be honest and tell them about it right?

Can they tell if she had one by examining her or by medical records? It was recent that she had one. We are very worried about it.

SLEC would ask about it. But this issue is more psychological.

And i hope you are ready to handle the psychological effect on your fiance and how it would affect your relationship once you are married.

It is good that she is honest with you about the abortion...

When Claudeth went the doctor, a woman, really was putting the heat on her to admit she had had an abortion or a baby. Claudeth has had neither and got angry at the doctor. Just be prepared for the third degree.

I read a similar topic and they say don't admit it because it is illegal over there. Can they tell if she had one if she keeps denying it?

intersting ..they would focus on this and try and force a person to admit to this

Damned if you do and damned if you don't!

TOUGH one!

Best I can say is if the question doesn't come up don't offer info regarding such.

Is the question asked on the PDS/PDF, Personnal data form/sheet?

Maybe some pinay can answer! My wife doesn't remember.

It is better to tell the truth once asked about it. The doctors who will examine are not just doctors. they are experts on those and that's what they are trained for.

Very true but!

How about the pinoy that admitted he'd smoked a joint when he was a teenager and was banned for life?

COURTS CONTINUE TO UPHOLD LIFETIME BAN FOR ADMITTING DRUG USE TO DOCTORS AT ST. LUKE'S

by Michael J. Gurfinkel, Esq.

Dear Atty. Gurfinkel:

I am a U.S. citizen, and petitioned my husband in the Philippines. When he went to St. Luke's for his medical exam, the doctors asked him if he had ever smoked marijuana in his life. Although he is now in his mid-40s, he told the doctor that back when he was 18, he smoked marijuana a couple of times, but that was it.

When he went for his visa interview, the Consul told him he was banned for life, because he admitted that he had used drugs. Is there any hope that my husband can join me and our children in America?

Abortions are illegal in the PI, so how would there be anything on her medical records???

Was it a medical procedure? If not (in the strictest sense) and no record, there's no need to disclose it during her Medical.

I didn't realize that...she said she took some kind of prescription ulcer medicine that someone got for her. I guess it is common for abortions. I have told her not to disclose the information...I hope that is the right decision.

I am afraid that since she took the ulcer medicine this would hurt her chances of approval if she admits it. She wants to tell the truth but we are very afraid because we love each other and don't want to risk her getting denied. Is there any way that they could tell that she did this if she never admits to it? I hate telling her to lie and she doesn't want to but it seems like the safest option unfortunately.
