it can take 7 months or more" I said I know that but the update is for Nov 2008 . its now Feb 2009 no? Her answer " so what your question?" I said never mine  She ask "if you have any other questions feel free to call back and have a great day" Is it me :bonk::bonk::bonk:

Never mind the web site updates. When it says November 2008, that's what it means. I had a phone conversation a year ago with a very helpful USCIS representative, who explained that the website is unreliable and its personnel have been overloaded since July 2007. The one you talked with should have said the same thing.

You should not rely to what people on the phone tell you at USCIS. They are just reading a script! Unless you talk to an officer. As far as update is concerned for USCIS for Citizenship (N-400 filers in particular) there is no update! I talked to an officer a month ago and she told me that they are having trouble updating their system. Just rely on different people who has the same timeline as you. When you call next time ask to be transfer to an officer since they have more information specific to your case!

God bless and success!

Here is my Citizenship Timeline:

December 08, 2008 > NOA 1 in Mail / Case tranferred to National Benefit Center (day 14)

January 6, 2009 > Biometric appointment (day 43)

February 5, 2009 > Interview appointment letter in the mail (day 74)
