Well it has been a long process of not getting a NOA1 or biometrics until having OMBUDSMAN and two elected representatives open an inquiry to help us during this past year.

Today I got an email from CRIS.

Receipt Number: SRCxxxxxxxxxx

Application Type: CRI89 , PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On February 18, 2009, we ordered production of your new card.

I have almost completed the N-400 and plan to mail it off on February 23, 2009, I just lack the photos and making another copy for our records.

Our time line is listed below and it would of been exactly one year this coming Monday.

Good luck to everyone else that is waiting for their cards, now off to the citizenship forum and hopefully a much smoother process.

03/28/2007 - email notification that card production ordered!!!! (Day 68)

04/20/2007 - GC in the mail.....no more USCIS for 2 years!!!!!

12/29/08 - Filed I-751 to VSC

01/12/09 - NOA in mail

01/24/09 - received ASC notice

02/06/09 - biometrics appointment in Orlando

02/09/09 - touch

06/01/09 - approval letter in mail

12/11/09 - Filed N-400 to NSC

12/14/09 - Package arrived at NSC

12/26/09 - NOA in mail

01/22/10 - Fingerprinting in Orlando

03/08/10 - Interview in Orlando (passed)

03/12/10 - Oath Ceremony

Thanks everyone. FYI our online status shows that our file has been touched every day since 02/19/09 stating that the case is approved and to expect the card within 60 days.

:dancing: Today we got the actual permanent resident card in the mail. Good luck to everyone waiting.

After such a long wait, you deserve it! It's good to know that the VSC is doing something, even if it takes a long time. Too bad though, you couldn't get a refund for the I-751, as you only have the 10yr card for a short time now.

Oh well, onto the next stage of citizenship for you!
