I129 Approved but without email notice

Hello! Since I am the beneficiary, I don't receive any packets from the USCIS. My mom in law sent me a message that she already received approval of our petition (since my husband is on USAF base). What does that packet containt? And, why didn't I receive a notice via email or USCIS website? Are we going to start using NVC number to track our case? Thank your for this very helfpul site. :-) It's greatly appreciated.

did you register for e-mail notification?

the letter is not a packet... it is merely a single page notice... are you sure it was approval? did you expedite? 12 days is unheard of?

NVC needs to assign a new case number before you can start tracking

Thanks a lot. That is what my mom in law said, it's approved. I don't know which one is approved. In the tracking website of USCIS, the notice was for us to wait within 60 days before the make a decision...and I think that is the decision. What does it mean? Is it I129? Or what? Thanks!

Notices are often confused. I suspect this is simply the notification your I-129F case was received. Have her scan the notice and email it to you. If it's and approval, it will clearly say "approval" and indicate the case was sent to NVC. It could be the approval notice for the I-130. If so, it would render the I-129F useless.

Not sure I really understand everything here... if you submitted an I-129F to accompnny the I-130 could it be your NOA1 for the I-129F that your mother-in-law recieved?

Based upon your signature timeline this would be your NOA1 for your recently (this month) submitted I-129F. It would not be an approval - if it was it is in record time (couple of weeks).

It will help if you complete a timeline for your profile.

My mom in law sent the scanned copies of the notices.

Notice type: Approval Notice of Case I130

then the other one is approval notice I129 (valid from Feb 2009 to june 2009)

And it also mentioned that it is already sent to NVC.

So does it mean we can proceed to IR1?

Yes you can continue the CR-1 route now that the I-130 is being sent to NVC. Congratulations!!
