after NOA2 what's next?

We got approved last Feb 2 and it's been 2 weeks now, we haven't received the NOA2 hardcopy in mail yet.

is it true we can call the US embassy in Manila since we already have the case number?

Please enlighten us with this. What should we prepare? As beneficiary, what should i prepare?

US embassy in Manila receives the case file from NVC with a NEW CASE NUMBER... until you know that there is nothing the embssy can do

Your case number should be coming from NVC, in order to know the progress of your case here in the US embassy. As for NOA2 hardcopy, yeah, it really taking some time to be able to receive it. But, just in case your case is in NVC, you can call the NVC to get your manila case number that usually starts at MNL XXXXXXXXX. Then, just asked them if they already transferred your case here in Manila. Then, you can now call the embassy here in Manila to know if they have your case and schedule your interview.

hey,I think the hardcopy of NOA2 is important,just in case the embassy on the time of your interview will ask for it..

if you have your MNL case number from NVC,make sure to ask NVC if they sent your case to consulate here in Manila,

and call embassy and ask if they have your case and if you can make your appointment..

About the time you sent the petition, you could have downloaded packet 3 from the embassy website, so now will have to do. Download packet 3 and begin to prepare all the documents you need for the interview, get your documents in order, get them translated, collect your evidence of relationship, make copies, make more copies, get the photos you will need. DO NOT wait around for someone else to do something next, get ahead of the game and get prepared

for update: I called up the embassy and they have our case filed already in manila, and was told to wait for the packet and once i receive the packet that is the time i can call them for interview schedule.... This is confusing me, i have read some members here who were able to sched for an interview since they have the case number...ay yay yay...I guess i will just have to wait for the packet patiently...... I am keeping my fingers crossed it will arrive this coming week. Oh please....

yes we have prepared all documents needed. what confuses me is when to call for schedule of interview. I have read postings here that once they got their case number they can have schedule for interview already. I called up the embassy in manila and our case is in their office.They advised me to wait for the packet before calling them for sched of interview...ay yay yay...

Even if the case is already in the embassy, it take some time for them to encode or maybe process it. Anyway, it takes only some few days to receive the letter from them. If not, call them again, if you could schedule your interview coz your case is already in their system.
