In our case we have medical insurance and dental insurance, but only 80% covered and 20% we're the one will pay for it. In major operation we will pay first $ 2,000 and the remaining of the balance insurance will covered 80% and our part is 20%. We can't afford to pay the remaing balance if my operations will cost more than $ 20,000 here, it is still a big amount of money for our part. So we decided to have my operation (Gall bladder stone ) next yr. in the Phils, will pay all after the operation we dont have bills to think after. Thats my fear also here if i get sick. Medical services here is very expensive. I save my salary for emergency use...

I guess you have to check your plan's Explanation of Benefits again. The first $2,000 that you are talking about might be the maximum annual out-of pocket expenses on your part (not including deductible, co-payments, non-covered services, per admission fees and non-network provider charges). Such is the case with my health plan (Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO). My maximum out-of-pocket is $2,500 for individual coverage. That means that, after I have spent my annual deductible of $250 and $2,500 in co-insurance, I don't have to pay a single cent anymore for the year.

Our Medical insurance is BMS. We should pay first $ 2,000 if major operations.and the rest the insurance will pay 80% and remaining 20% thats our part.

Are you sure there ain't no maximum out-of- pocket expenses proviso in your plan? As far as I know, most medical plans have this.

I will ask my husband about it, when he arrives from work. he is the one explaining me about our medical insurance and dental.

Most of those homeless choose to beg rather than work.

They want money to buy alcholol or drugs

They work in groups sometimes, and will get a wheelchair and share it to get sympathy.

I have asked a few of the so called "Beggers" if they wanted to work the day for me doing manual labor, Guess what they declined.

Don't pay too much attention to these so called beggers, some of them make more than a working person.

This is very true. I even saw a man near my home, standing on the highway exit begging for money. He had a sign that read "Homeless, need food. Anything helps". He was standing with a crutch, and limping when he would take peoples money.

I saw him several days later riding a bike, so I followed. He rode to a 'pay by the week' motel. I watch him roll his bike in the apartment and close the door.

The next day, he was at work again, standing at the exit begging.

While in Cebu, I saw naked, dirty children begging. I later saw them sleeping on the walkway crossing the street near Robinsons Mall. I guess they are everywhere.

It is very sad to see homeless but it is a world wide problem. When we were in Cebu we visited Magellan's cross and there was a huge population of homeless living around there.
