Yes. Philippines is fine. However, if you pass through some other countries, they will not accept the Green passport any longer.

thank you for your reply. that means i can go back here in the U.S. without any problem?

Good Afternoon! I just wanted to ask about my expiring (green) philippine passport. Me and my husband planned to go home to the Philippines this coming march 3, 2012 and be back in the U.S. on the 18th of the same month. And we just got our roundtrip ticket lastnight. Now I just want to know if i will be able to return to the U.S. with my Philippine passport that will expire on June 13, 2012? I am holding a U.S Permanent Resident Card that will expire on May 17,2013.

Thank you

You mentioned that your passport will expire on June 13,2012 and you plan to go home to the Philippines on March 3, 2012, so that means between March and June your passport will expire in three months. I suggest that you get a new passport now because they only allow travelers holding a passport with at least six months before it expires. It doesn't matter whether you are an American or Filipino but if your passport will expire less than 6 months they will not allow you to travel. This happen to my cousin's fiance he's an American and planned to travel to the Philippines but his passport was expiring in five months, when he got to the airport they did not allow him to board the plane because they said his passport did not meet the reqirement of at least six months before expiration. I hope this will help you.
