I heard the checks can be ordered anytime . Even when they are complete, I heard they can turn around and re order them all over again.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Hello i wanted to reply too, my case has beeing pending after our interview back in June 2008! We went several times at infopass appointment, but nothing new... we are beeing told to wait, I went back to do my fingerprints because they were expired.

I had to reniew my EAD, I`m actually waiting for it.

Back at the interview, the officer asked us a lot of questions, it lasted 30-45 min, took a lot of evidences and a lot of our pictures, told us everything looked fine but couldn`t approve us because of one mistake on my medical. He then gave us a paper and told us we had 30 days to send him my new vaccination sheet. The same day we went to the doctors office and to UPS to send him overnight the new vaccination sheet... since then nothing.

We went 3-4 times to infopass to have the same answer... You have to wait.

So i don`t know maybe they are reviewing the file again because i`m adjusting through visa Waiver with a long overstay...We stayed 4years fiancee and are married for 2 years now. So lets see what will happend.

We are very scared to be denied. We are just waiting now.

So the good news is that I got approved Mar 16, and received my GC Mar 27! :)

By the timing of the approval, I can't help but wonder if they were waiting for us to file our taxes, to make sure my wife had earned the amount we put on the affidavit of support. It could just be a coincidence, but I had filed a few weeks before the approval.

If that's not it, I assume the FBI check is for any criminal record and might even involve them asking your home country for your criminal record there. That can definitely take ages, especially if you don't have a criminal record!

I am in somewhat the similar boat as you all, although its not been that long. Have not been informed about a decision whether approved or denied,. The interview did last an hour, but in a very friendly atmosphere. Didn't even seem like an interview. I was asked to provide my previous divorce deed in original which led to holding my application till i had to request the documents from back home and then had to submit in person at the local office after three days. Since my interview, there has been no touches, nor have I heard anything.

My husband and I had our AOS interview November 9,2010. IO said she saw no reason not to approve our application. Explained the ROC and citizenship process. She said that we should receive or decision in the mail within 2-3 weeks. Made an infopass appointment and they said we should wait 90 more days. Contacted my senators office and she didnt receive a reply. Just going crazy :wacko :wacko: with the waiting game. Any advice or suggestions will help.

Hello everybody! My husband and I had the green card interview yesterday and it was really short. IO just asked for identification documents (i.e. birth certificates, citizenship proof, my passport) and nothing else. She did not ask for any supporting documents, no pictures, no bank statements, nothing but identification documents, and she just questioned me( I am beneficiary), quick questions like my name, date of birth, current address, employment status, no questions about marriage, about how we met, she did not ask my husband any questions. Interview lasted less than 10 minutes, she took the I-94 of my passport and she just said "we'll get back to you", we asked when, she said the decision needs to be made within 160 days, thats the law, but we can hear from them any day. She practically said nothing. Such a short interview, no questions about our marriage, no supporting documents ( we brought the whole bag for nothing). I asked her if I could travel while the AOS is pending, she said I could travel on my AP as long as there's no negative decision made on our case and as long as our case is pending. We left so disappointed, I am now very upset cause I dont know what to think, is that short interview with no questions good or bad thing, she took my I94- is that good or bad, do I dare to travel, I have to go home to complete my master. Anybody had similar experience, please reply! Thank you!
