We very carefully prepared all items for CR1 visa application.

Planned FedEx for pickup.

Driver refused to come upstairs (high rise apartment) to pickup package.

Called me on phone to say that and then hung up on me.

I frantically grab package containing I-130 and all else for the CR1 application and head downstairs.

Driver then has attitude because I do not have an Airbill filled out.

Driver gets more attitudinal when I do not have FedEx labeled package.

She gets package from truck then says "ok its good".

I ask her to please attach the Airbill before she leaves with my package.

She says I can have the package back if I want it.

I request her to return my package.

She refused to give me the package , instead, retreating into her van and closing door.

She opened door a little to tell me to "step away from the van". Then closes door again.

She then affixed a clear window to package and placed Airbill inside.

I waved at her (as I could not get package back) and she drove off.

Today when I tracked package it is mis-delivered to wrong facility.

When I ask customer service guy on phone why. I find out the driver (apparently intentionally) entered a different postal code. (The codes could not have been mistakenly entered by anyone not involved with heavy drug use.)

I am in fear for the integrity of the visa application and have FedEx to re-direct the package back to me.

This whole thing sounds too strange to be true but it all occurred in the presence of my apartment manager.

I can only hope that a different driver, and not a friend of the evil driver returns my package to me in a complete and secure form.

So now I sit waiting to see if I can recover any documents from the application. If the driver opened it then I now have to deal with filing a criminal case against her also.

I cannot believe that I have ever been so angry in my life.

Thanks for letting me vent.

John

It is so simple to use one US agency (USPS) to handle transporting of the package to another US agency (USCIS), USPS will happily deliver it to the PO BOX.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Once you get the FedEx package back, next time take it to a FedEx or UPS shipping office. After it gets to its destination, complain all you want about this driver. Drivers do not generally deal with packages that are not already prepared for shipping with the proper form already filled out. They are on a tight schedule, just like postal workers, and must make their various stops on deadline or face losing their jobs. You might check out FedEx's policy on picking up parcels. I notice that high rise office buildings usually have a FedEx pickup container on the main floor or nearby.

When I lived in Manhattan FedEx would deliver my mail to the wrong places all the time. West 3rd street instead of East 3rd Street or just attach a slip to my door saying I wasn't home to sign for it. (I had a 24 hr doorman that happily signed for all packages and USPS, UPS, and DHL had no problem with it).

FedEx is iffy, go with the USPS.

Sounds like you need to complain. With the way the economy is I would think people would want a bit better customer relations going on. The alarm company I am with wants to charge me a bundle to reconnect my window sensors after we have new windows installed. I tried to get them to budge but they wouldn't so now I will have a new alarm company on Monday and the old one can kiss my rosy, red rectum :P

In my business dealings, I find the following.....

USPS and UPS are great for domestic packages.

UPS is the best for international packages.

OMG! I seriously would have considered bodily harm! Good job keeping your cool with her. Just think about this, if she's a bitter, unhappy person now, she will be for the rest of her life. You on the other hand, will eventually be reunited with your lovely wife and experience great joy in that.
