Tax Transcripts

We tried to order a transcript of our 2008 tax return to submit with I-751, but the IRS phone system told us that it is not possible and without giving any reasons. We just filed our 2008 return about one week ago and it was accepted by the IRS. Has anyone run into this problem before?

Last year it was June before 2007 transcripts were available... If true, then I expect the same for the current year

You definitely have to wait past April 15th before you can order these transcripts.

Try again in June you should be able to get the 2008 one then. If you need to include this years tax papers then send a copy of the forms you filed along with copies of all W2's 1099's

I just sent copies of 2008 tax returns with W-2's I guess it's ok.Its impossible to get transcripts this early anyway.

Why the W'2 ? The W'2 is not needed at all. We ddi it online, so I will send the print out.

Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately we cant wait until June. Our 90 days window for I-751 opens on March 7th, so we will probably just submit a printout of the tax return we just filed online in addition to 2007 transcript.

for you tax printout to be considered complete you need attach copies of any w-2's...

Our W'2 don't include the address. We got those that are about the size of a credit card and only include the numbers.

It must have your SSN on it by law, so the fact that it does not have your address means nothing. For USCIS to accept a printout of a Tax Return you must include copies of all W2's and 1099's.

You do not have to send Tax Transcripts.

Exactly right brother John - my response was incomplete. If you are sending the print outs, you have to include all W-2s, etc.

Dude, what difference does that make anyway?? I am not applying for a K 1 etc. where I need to provide proof for my income. I am just removing my conditions.
