We have requested the expertise from the Ombudsman office as our case NOA1 is dated 11/30/07.

Our response was a letter addressed to Ms. _____ and I am a Mr. They spelled my first name wrong

also. I emailed the Ombudsman office a nice reply to correct this info, but I am really offended and

concerned that they do not pay any attention to the case at hand and just type whatever comes to their

mind. grrr.

Was it worth our time to request their help, probably not. Their letter indicates that they have made a

case status inquiry. We did that ourselves and got the same response - wait another 45 days.

hmmm the response to us had me listed as MRS___ when clearly im a MISS or it would not be k1 petition, ok so maybe we should blame all this on the economy, the government can no longer afford to pay educated employees?

Don't be offended. The routine acknowledgement letter you received was spit out by a computer based on the name & address that was typed in by a low-level clerical employee operating at high speed to process the day's quantity of mail. This kind of work can be performed by those who are in some way handicapped or otherwise unable to find work in the private sector. Your actual inquiry is waiting its turn to be read by one of the career employees. That doesn't mean you will get a very personalized answer, though.
