If you are refering to the address changes that would transfer your case to another visa center, then

I heard address changes would affect the process time.

We filed in early October and made an address change in December (and that's when we had our last "touch").

When my fiance called USCIS to ask if that would delay the process, he was told that it would not but we were also told that was because he was in the military and they were not going to transfer our case to the other visa center.

Now I am seeing quite a few people who filed later than us getting approved and am concerned about the adress change a bit again. It's also possible that they work on adress changes and put the documents into another pile of documents, right? Then what happen to those?? (I know I'm just paranoid too...)

Hey my exact thoughts aswell!!! Have a NOA1 date of the 1st Oct with vermont and my Fiance in the USA reported a change of his address mid to the latter part of October. I was thinking that this may delay the processing time with them probably moving it to the back of the pile again???

Is there some way we could find out for sure?

Hi. I just wanted update.

After all, the address change didn't affect our case and we got NOA2 after the wait of 137 days.

I don't know how to check this for sure but calling them may help. At least they told my fiance it wouldn't affect the process time when he called them.

It is now sure that they didn't put our case in the pile of December 2008 even though my fiance informed the address change in December.

I hope this information can help a little.

If you are just worried and don't know what is happening, I think you should call and see what they say.
