Hey all,

My fiance and I are preparing to leave Argentina this Friday (we just received his visa from the embassy). Our problem is that his visa arrived in a soft envelope from DHL. The envelope with all the papers that we are to present at the POE was slightly damaged in the mail. There is a small tear along one side of the envelope and a couple of other small tears in the corner. The envelope is not supposed to be opened by us, nor have evidence of tampering.

We wrote to the embassy asking what to do, but we are concerned they will not respond in time (we only have a couple of days left before we leave).

Has anyone else had this problem? And why the heck do they send us such important papers in an envelope that can tear so easily?

Hope someone can help us!

Unless the openings are large enough to remove things from the envelope, I wouldn't worry about it. Bring the DHL envelope along too if you want.
