passed the 2nd interview...woo hooo...yeee hawww!

This time my hubby went with ALL the emails and chats, phone card receipts, text messages...

He had the same person that interviewed him the 1st time. He reviewed the notebook and came out with a smile and said " Congratulations, You can pick up your passport on Friday...woo hoo :dance:

07/29/2007---began process

01/24/2008---I-130 APPROVED (email)

I-129F

11/2007-------sent I-129F - VSC

02/17/2008---touched (at Vermont)

...I'm CR1 now--IV bill shows CR1--oh well

NVC

02/12/2007---at NVC

02/25/2008---received DS-3032 and AOS bill

03/10/2008---received IV Bill ($400!!)

03/24/2008---mailed DS2032

10/10/2008---approved at NVC

11/06/2008---interview (more evidence)

02/17/2009---2nd interview- PASSED!!!!!

04/01/2009---He finally landed on US soil. (no joke)

Hi Congratulations to you, im at the NVC stage now, and will be dealing with the ghana embassy as well. can you please give me an idea of how many emails you submitted as evidence. MY husband is in ghana and we talk every single day, but he will NOT EMAIL ME. im now realizing that he doesnt type, so its very discouraging for him. even text msgs are difficult for him. the text he has sent, ive forwarded them to my email account and will copy them for his future interview.

we have phone bills, maybe a total of 5 emails for the past 1+ years. wedding photos, photos of me with his family, emails to his family members, insurance policy, airiline tickets when i visited . we will possibly open a joint account in Accra when i go there in March. how important were the EMAILS in your final approval. I have repeatedly told him how important the emails are, but its like talking to a brick wall. can you share with me what was the embassy in ghana really looking for as evidence.

9/5/08 mailed I130 chicago lockbox 9/8/08 I130 received at chicago lockbox

9/11/08 check cashed 9/15/08 NOA1 received in mail ( CSC) 9/16/08 USCIS update info on website

01/24/09 RFE notice by email (sad & worried)

01/27/09 received RFE in my P.O.BOX, requesting i take new passport size photo of MYSELF, this time write information on back of photo in pencil, i sed black felt pen per I-130 instructions.

01/27/09 took new passport size photo of myself, mailed off corrected RFE USPS EXPRESS MAIL

01/29/09 received email from USCIS request for evidence received and case processing resumed

02/05/09 TOUCHED!!! prayn for no RFE"S

02/06/09 I-130 APPROVED!!!! received email from USCIS 02/09/09 received NOA2 hard copy in the mail

02/09/09 NVC case# given today (very nice operator)

2/13/09 NVC sent form DS-3032 to me & beneficiary i emailed ds3032 to nvc

2/19/09 received AOS Bill & copy of ds-3032 in the mail

2/20/09 tried to pay AOS online, made mistake typing my first name, i think payment was rejected.

2/23/09 hubby mailed faxed copy of ds3032 to nvc st.louis.(still hasnt received his copy from NVC)

02/23/09 AOS bill shows PAID!!!!, YAY!! will mail I-864 now.

3/4/09 mailed AOS (I-864) USPS express mail (will mail ds230 in april after my trip to ghana)

04/03/09 paid IV Bill online

04/09/09 USPS expressed mail:: DS230-IVBILL to NVC:: 4/10/09 NVC received DS230

4/14/09 DS230 being reviewed

4/22/09 CASE COMPLETE AT NVC ( per operator & AVR)

12/3/09 email from NVC

01/11/2010 Interview Ghana Embassy. Visa Approved. 2/5/10 received visa

I've read your past posts and know that you encountered a problem with the embassy before and they told you you didn't have enough evidence. My interview date is March 30th. I am sending my husband with about 100 pages of emails, 1 phone bill showing that we text each other (we just learned that we could do this with a text plan and not pay gross international charges), 6 phone bills showing that we called each other via phone cards, used phone cards, an auto insurance policy with him listed, a letter of good status from my bank with him listed as beneficiary on accounts, a joint federal tax return from 2008, a document listing him on my auto loan as my spouse, and my lease saying he will occupy the apartment. In your opinion, is this enough?

UPDATE: When May 15th arrived, Ali received a call to pick his Visa the following Friday, May 22nd @ 8 AM @ Accra Embassy. Apparently, they are behind in processing.

Estimates/Stats : Your I-130 was approved in 32 days from your NOA1 date.
