First I want to express gratitude for this website. Thanks Visajourney, and to all of the posters who posted their own experiences. Our story begins at a uniersity near Seoul, in South Korea. Usman and I met while living in the same dormitory. He was the first in his family to leave his home country of Pakistan in pursuit of education. I came to Korea on scholarship, all the way from Georgia in the U.S. We didn't mean to fall in love, it just wasn't in the plan that we made for our lives. But ever since the day we met, each day we spent apart felt like a mistake. Despite the great differences in culture, and even the language hurdles, we've realized how precious our love is, and we cherish each moment together. Life is completely different now, we feel whole together, and I'm happier than I have ever been. I hope everyone can have a love like ours someday.
