Princess, your time soon come!!

That is horrible I have been in that situation too, someone used my card in the Juicy beef in Kingston and charged 500.00 WTH??!!. Good thing my bank caught it right away conducted an investigation and I didn't have any further issues. Also I have been noticing in Kingston in the past year that a lot of establishments aren't accepting International cards especially from the US. Plus the ATM's don't never have no $$$ So since we have an account with Scotia I just use that card if I need to so I don't have any issues with fraud. It's really a shame that this is a major issue but its the sign of the times.....

Philly - how the heck do you charge $500 in Juicy Beef? Did they feed the whole restaurant?

sus, I was about to ask, damn 1 patty should cost around $80 or less depends

Lawny EXACTLY so I was like WTH? Also my bank wouldn't give me any details bout the fraud either, file a claim blah blah blah. I was just glad they took care of it no questions asked. That was just a hot mess all around! so I feel for anyone who goes through that......

I deal with fraudulent credit card charges all the time - My company sells a product online that is a target for people to test credit cards - it is about a $30 charge, and they try it to see if the card is valid - So then the card owner receives the product in the mail and calls up ranting and raving that they never ordered it.

Unfortunately, we can't give out the information of who made the charge - the person has to file a police report, and then have the police contact us to get the info - Totally ridiculous, but we have to do it officially to protect ourselves.

Morning ladies,

Well im back and what can i say :( not exactly happy to be home, glad to see my babies of course, but missing D. I wont even try to go go back and catch up until this evening when i have some down time.

Me and Momto2( tanya) met up again and had a nice time. Saturday was hot as blazes which caused me to have a migraine for hours on end, plus i think the humidity had something to do with it, but on the upside my scaly tight lizard skin i had flaking off my face, went away in like a days time....LOL

Thanks to everyone for the Birthday wishes....

Sunday, it rained for most of the day, so me and D, spent the day chilling, and i mean ALL DAY, we watched movies and slept( his favorite pasttime) but i didnt complain, we then went to Priory that night and chilled. Monday was a lazy day though i went into Ochi and hung out for awhile, it was a short trip but im glad i went.

Im starting to feel like a pro, getting around the district now... cause of all the rain, one of my stoopid azz cab drivers refused to drive me up D's hill cause the road is all rutted out and rocked up, so he tells me no he isnt driving me up the hill but will drive me around the corner and then i can walk up (#######!!!!) me in the meantime trying not to panic, and look all outta place, cause im riding deep with about 6 other jamaicans in the back of this cab, im like ok whateva #######, fortunately D had taken me thru this shortcut one time before earlier in the day, so i played it cool, and got out and then got to steppin like i didnt have a care in the world, before climbing up the side of this dayyumm hill in my flip flops, all while trying not to slip, time i reached topside i was all outta breath....LOL..

but its all good... i have 35 days till JA soon come again....

Well, my cousin used her debit card for incidentials at Breezes in Mobay and her card was charged at several places in Kingston, St. Elizabeth, Ocho and St. Mary. In all, about $5500.00 was withdrawn from her account. She didn't know until she tried to pay for an additional night at another property in Mobay and it was declined. It messed up everything here in the states that was pending on her account. It took seven months to straighten things out. But it was someone from the hotel (even though they denied it)...

From the Jamaica Survival Guide thread, I saw that you can apply for your police record in Kingston... and that you need your passport to do so:

http://www.mns.org.jm/ApplyingforPoliceRec...79/Default.aspx

Are their any other places to get the police record closer to Negril? And did your SOs need to show a passport to get it? That seemed like a strange requirement to me.
