Mrs. P; mi never see u did a hail mi up...

I might be in Myrtle Beach mother's day weekend, unless I end up in Miami for a bridal shower...I haven't made up my mind yet

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

No one answered my question yet... did you all send your original married certificate or a copy?

I didn't feel too much different when I got married either--not until I changed my name on all my info (SS cards, license, bank stuff, pay check stubs, etc) And someone would say, "Mrs. Palmer" this or that... I used to be like "Who in the sam heezy are they talking to?:blink: ---oh me!  Are you talking about for AOS? Is there a particular form name?

K - I sent an original. I had several copies made at the courthouse and got them the same day.

Sorry Portland I thought I answered you. Yes I sent the original.

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

Help my HAIR!!

For those of you who go workout during the workday..what do you do for your hair??

I'm so tired of wearing weave and when I work out I sweat for 2 hours after so it doesn't make sense to blow dry and curl. Today after working out I ended up with an airfro. People were doing the look at you but look quickly away thing to me. I ended up putting some lotion on it and pullin it in a ponytail. Which is not good for my hair.

Sorry, I can't help you here Wakey! :crying: Do you have relaxed hair? If so, I am guessing just doing a good conditioning after your workout? I wear my hair natural, so all I would really do is rinse and go! Probably add a light oil combination like jojoba & grapeseed, or evoo.

Do you think I could try to wash and condition and then put a pretty headband on and let it air dry?? I'm going to go home and try it.

If you go to the gym everyday wont be good for your hair to wash it everyday maybe once a week. maybe you can braid and then pull the braids out and wear it curly.

No one answered my question yet... did you all send your original married certificate or a copy?

Sorry Portland I thought I answered you. Yes I sent the original.

Thanks ladies.

Wakey---I think you can use a leave-in conditioner, and then wash once a week...

Lawny---do you know someone in MB? I was looking on this site called Homeaway.com and found this great condo for rent! She's been really good to negotiate with so far, and she's had great reviews about the condo and the whole experience!

A few of my co-workers own property there. We'll see how the weekend plays out. The last time we went there I cooked jerk chicken and rice-n-peas with fried plaintains for 3 days straight, the neighbors didn't want us to leave it was so much fun. We also made fritters and plaintain porridge and they loved it.

I know that my hair dresser told me that flat ironing my hair every day is not good for it - it will break it.

Me time is very very important - I was getting to that point, too - I was just so burnt out, focusing on everyone else and this whole relationship, Going away to Atlantic City with my cousin was the best thing I have done for myself in a long time - just having the change in scenery, not thinking about anything - I highly recommend that everyone take some me time - even if it is just to get in your car for the day and drive off somewhere - go do something for yourself, we all deserve it, and it works wonders for the spirit.
