Hi everyone!

School has me buried and is taking up so much time. I hope all is well with everyone.

Rox....did you send it registered mail through UPS or USPS?

- Marie (F)

Marie, it was register mail thru USPS... It was a box of clothes and such.... I hads it sent it out on a Saturday and it arrived on that Thursday. I saw when it left NY headed to Ja, then I saw where it was checked into custom, and then checked at his local PO in Kingston.

And customs did not open the box? Did you write clothes as the box's contents?

Marie, I wrote clothes on the declare ticket, custom did not open the box.

I asked this in a different forum on VJ but wanted to ask you guys for your opinions also....

On the DS-156 question #37 it asks: Are any of the follwoing persons in the US or do they have US Legal Permanent Reseidence or US Citizenship? Mark Yes or No and indicate that person's status in the US (ie US legal permanent resident, US. Citizen, studying, working etc)

My SO has his interview on March 20th and I am working on filling out this form for him.

Here is the situation...my SO mother came to the US on a work visa....she did over stay and has gotten married. She is in the process of having her husband file her I-130 and I-485 so I know I should mark Yes that his mother is in the US but then what do I put for her status?

Any help would be great.

That's a tough one, Dillon - I think I would put working - If she hasn't adjusted status, you can't say LPR = I would take the position that he knew she came to the US for work - and that's it. I would put the last visa she had down, and not bring up the overstay.

Me too. When Damien and I dated, I went to see him every 6-8 weeks and I never had to mail anything. Or I knew someone going down who was nice to enough to take it down for me.
