Morning/Afternoon Yardies!

Sometimes I wish I were on the East Coast cause then I'd be eating lunch right now!

Hi Sus, How are you? I miss chatting with you guys. I have been busy working to make up for lost wages, etc. We get married on Friday. Can't wait.

Congrats Shaunsgal!:dance::dance: So much happy news here lately!

This was funny to me

A couple was celebrating their golden wedding anniversary on the beaches in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Their domestic tranquility had long been the talk of the town. People would say, 'What a peaceful & loving couple'. The local newspaper reporter was inquiring as to the secret of their long and happy marriage.

The Husband replied: 'Well, it dates back to our honeymoon in America , explained the man. 'We visited the Grand Canyon, in Arizona , and took a trip down to the bottom of the canyon, by horse. We hadn't gone too far when my wife's horse stumbled and she almost fell off. My wife looked down at the horse and quietly said,' That's once.''We proceeded a little further and her horse stumbled again. Again my wife quietly said, 'That's twice. 'We hadn't gone a half-mile when the horse stumbled for the third time my wife quietly removed a revolver from her purse and shot the horse dead. I SHOUTED at her, 'What's wrong with you, Woman! Why did you shoot the poor animal like that, are you crazy?' She looked at ME, and quietly said, 'That's once.'

And from that moment ... we have lived happily every after.!

:rofl::rofl:

Dat nah nice

I am not sure if customs checks priority or not - I just had success with the flat rate envelope. At the rate I am travelling back and forth, I haven't been bothering with mailing anything, lol

Marie, it was register mail thru USPS... It was a box of clothes and such.... I hads it sent it out on a Saturday and it arrived on that Thursday. I saw when it left NY headed to Ja, then I saw where it was checked into custom, and then checked at his local PO in Kingston.

Sus, only evenlopes cannot be tracked when they are sent priority mail International. So I don't know if you can track a priority box.

Online Tracking - Put our delivery information to work for you. Track PMI package shipments. Note: Tracking is not available for Priority Mail International Flat-Rate Envelopes.

Yes, you can. I sent the large box. Believe it's stuck in Jamaican customs.

And customs did not open the box? Did you write clothes as the box's contents?

Strange cuz I was able to type in my tracking number and it told me what date it left here then it was shipped to NJ then to JA...that's where it stopped. I was also able to call USPS and gave them the tracking number so they could open an investigation.

Part of the issue (I think) with the tracking through USPS is that once it lands in JA, it is in the Jamaican postal system - so the only updates available are when they update it.

One envelope that I sent with pictures to DJ's mom - it kept giving me a status that it had landed in JA, but nothing further - she had called and told me she got it, and it took a week for them to update the delivery status.

I see....this is definitely my first and last time. It's the package for a little girl...school shoes, supplies, etc. Luckily, my cousin is flying down Friday so she volunteered to take some stuff down for me.

Exactly. The USPS worker told me JA customs and postal system can take up to 120 days to respond to their investigation  .
