then I pull his arm pit hairs (only sometimes..not everytime)

and one time..he got mad and shaved them

he still lays there half asleep letting me pull them saying "ouch..thats hot, thats hot"

(and yall know he doesnt mean hot like we do, hahaha)

:rofl: :rofl: That he shaved them - Now, question - did he use your razor? That is one of our other battles - He gets creative if I leave my razor in the shower :help:

mi watching Ryon sleep.

Honey, we were married at 11:30 am on 02/27/2008, we just said our vows over the phone again at 11:30 am today. Then we start laughing, and said we have been married for a whole year and 3 minutes.

So. we will be checking in on each other all day long, so I will now go to the store and buy me something new.

:ot: not that we had one to begin with, but does any one know if they have labor unions in JA? the wages and the bullsh_t, they pay people in JA, angers me, makes me want to go and start an uprising against all the frickin resorts, and band all the hotel workers from Negril to Kingston and between to say the hell with it, we aint workin for nothing!!

what would be the option, better the standards and pay for the employees or fly in workers from spain and india and wherever else and pay them effectively locking out JA workers? ( one of those things that makes me go hmmm)

Yall know i wanted to go to Law school before i became a social worker ( just too damn lazy and now too damn old...LOL)

Honey, you are dealing with a country, that some still consider to be a third world country. Things won't change over night.

some are lucky to have a job!! If u have the education and/or experience u can get very well paid jobs..know that for a fact !!

Morning/Afternoon Yardies!

I'm so excited for everyone today!

Happy Anniversary Roxcie!

Have a great trip Honey and Happy Birthday! :thumbs:

YAY SHREWDIE!! :dance::dance:

YAY PORTLAND!! :dance::dance:

WHAT A DAY!

Why am I craving banana bread this morning??? I'm usually not a big banana eater so it's kind of a strange craving...maybe my body needs potassium or something? :blink:

Morning Ladies;

Sus you feel better

Ryon (damn 2 hours) -- how come you had a list did they ask you for that in customs or you had it with you. I've had my wars with customs, theydon't bother me anymore...I usually go for secondary inspection or end up in a tiny rass room for 20mins...they always mess with me in Baltimore because I travel so much, they strangest question I've ever gotten was "how come...YOU DON'T HAVE A JAMAICAN ACCENT", so I answered, ow mi fi know dat, if u wah mi fi ave accent mi we ave one...end of inspection.

I travel a lot because that is my home, after 3 trips in a row they start with the harrassment. Last April I cut my trip short by 1 week because my sister was in the hospital. I was in Mobay when my mom called me and I was on the 4:45 flight into Baltimore, all I had was my purse and they questioned me over and over again because I didn't have any luggage. I explained to them that my sister is in the ER and I just left and their like "just like that"...I just asked, may I leave now and started crying and told them I don't have anytime for their BS.

:rofl::rofl:

Hey ladies,

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes....

Congrats to Portland, Shrewdie and Unruly...( hope i didnt forget anyone)

Sus, i am all packed and ready to go!!! but alas D has worked my phockin nerves this morning, so i may get off the plane and be ready to fight...LOL

Take it to the bedroom Honey. Then talk after you destress. Have a safe flight and enjoy that warmth!

EXACTLY! :devil:;)

Island....hopefully it will be a good trip. He got vex with me, cause i told him he better not spend my whole short trip sleeping.. and he thought that was a huge deal.. so i said if you fall asleep on me, im leaving and going into town.

I'm gonna threaten the same thing next time cause mister is always dead by 8:00 at night! :huh:

I hear ya - A would do that, but I would just wake him up. As much as we need these trips, they are stressfull cuz we are trying to cram months of everything into a short time. Hang in there.

So true! I have a HARD time waking up my mister cause he goes dead! When he does wake up after enough of my nagging, his eyes are blazing red like he just smoked a big phatty or something (and he didn't!)!

I haven't eaten at the Ruins - I liked Evitas - Very pretty place, and the food was good. Priory is fun - I don't think there was a cost, and don't worry about sticking out - no one looked at me funny, and I would stick out more than you would, lol - There was a girl who climbed into the rafters and was whinin in a handstand - She was unreal and good - except for the fact that she had a dress on, which when she stood on her head revealed all!

:lol: Okay, now THAT reminds me of Scrub a dub! I have to admit, those women have some SKILLS!

we have a 3 hour drive home

so..straight home :)

well, we are going to stop by my parents house

It's gonna be a late night for you guys but I'm sure you'll be amped up! I hope you log on tomorrow and tell us all how nice it was to wake up next to him!! :yes::luv:

So then what is it with JA men then, are they all sleep deprived? or vitamin deficient? shoot i even take D vitamins when i go, so he can not be so tired all the time, i told him i have never met another human who requires as much sleep as you. His response is " yuh knoa easy" ... Im assuming that is jamaican for shut the hell up....LOL

I'm wondering the same thing! Of course, considering he's wide awake around 5:30, I guess that would explain it. I told him we're going to have some adjustments to make because he knows I do not function well in the early a.m. He's going to be up and bouncing around and I'll be growling at him. Then he'll be asleep at 8:00 and I'll be growling at him again! :lol:

Kimmy, get that computer fixed so we can see those pics!

OMG.. i am so flipping bored at work, i feel like gouging one of my eyes out.. i cannot wait until it is time to go and i dont have any appts until 1, so i am in the ZONE

me too honey, me too

Bored and ANTSY! This is going to be the longest day for both of you but ESPECIALLY you Shrewdie!

So then what is it with JA men then, are they all sleep deprived? or vitamin deficient? shoot i even take D vitamins when i go, so he can not be so tired all the time, i told him i have never met another human who requires as much sleep as you. I brought the vitamins too - lol!! A can lay down anywhere, anytime, in any amount of noise and fall asleep. He says "I just need a 5...."

I'm jealous....I WISH I could sleep like that!

Good Morning:

THANK GOD IT"S FRIDAY!!!

Congrats Shrewdie, i def couldn't have waited as long as you did. God is going to shower you with many blessings!

Like PICKNEY! :whistle::innocent:

DJ does the same - but once he's asleep, 5 becomes 5 hours! I can't tell you how many times I have told him that if he falls asleep I am going out alone, lol - He manages to keep himself awake when I threaten that - especially once I start to get ready!

I'm definitely using that tactic next time! :devil:

:ot: not that we had one to begin with, but does any one know if they have labor unions in JA? the wages and the bullsh_t, they pay people in JA, angers me, makes me want to go and start an uprising against all the frickin resorts, and band all the hotel workers from Negril to Kingston and between to say the hell with it, we aint workin for nothing!!

Boy, this is really an issue with me too! I understand that some people are lucky to have jobs but it still doesn't justify working for darn near slave wages! I've often wondered what would happen if everyone just held their ground and went on strike for a week....I know others would quickly fill the vacancies but if EVERYONE would just revolt together, I think change could happen! It's just not right what so many people earn there....it makes it hard for me to be a 'tourist' and want to partake in 'touristy' activities because I know the staff at most places I can go are not properly compensated.

Rox, i know, but dyam they gotta start somewhere... i was trying to see if i could find any info on line about labor practices in JA.. shoot i see that the same issue occurs in Belize and many other islands but it still burns my azz...LOL

my friend who is from Ghana says things are the same over there in some parts as well.

Yeah, West Africa would also break your heart! There is too much disparity between countries and their wealth. It's funny because just last night I was wondering how to find resources on Jamaican law....labor and property/real estate.

i told D, if he falls asleep on me at any given time outside of sleeping hours, im gonna put a pillow over his face...LOL

I was kidding,but i think he believes me

:blink::lol:

Ryon, don't be sad - You are in that post JA slump, we've all been there

I don't think my slump has really set in yet and I'm surprised. I'm feeling pretty calm and while not necessarily 'glad' to be home, I'm not sad either.
