Question: To all my 2008 AOS filers have any of you received your GC's yet? I'm just trying to understand exactly wat deh ras a gwaan wid the GC's? I know they were down to 4-5 months in the early part of last year, between filing the I-485 and getting the actual GC in hand.

Does anyone know of anyone that filed b/t 7/2008-12/2008 that has recvd their GC yet?

Did you notice that anyone that was scheduled for an interview got their GC like in 2 weeks after the interview...typically?? I'm about to make some phone calls b/c I am totally and utterly confused and feel like I'm missing something! And if you guys haven't gotten the GC yet...then when deh ras can we expect ours???

He gets in around 5:45CST! He has left Jamaica and should be landing in Charlott within the next hour.

Wow so he's in the US already!!!! Now only a couple more hours and he'll be with you, where he belongs. I'm glad you are taking time off and going to have an extended weekend to enjoy him. I can't imagine what it's going to feel like that you don't have to leave him (like all the other times you have seen him) and you are together for good.

Good luck! I want to start in 2.5 years, but Steven wants to start YESTERDAY. I'm like, let's at least wait until we're married!

Nat, my SO is the same way. I keep saying "let's atleast wait until we are married". I try to explain that my wedding dress isn't going to look good with a pregnant belly, but then he says well what about a month or two before and you won't be showing? I wonder why they are so anxious? I've asked my SO and he just says he can't wait to have a family of his own.

I doubt he will call me from the airport he didn't even call me this morning. I guess I will just talk to him when he gets here. Nothing special at the airport but my daughter and I made him a Welcome Home sign, I got him a little gift (a key chain from Tiffany's with the house and car keys on it) I am friends with a Jamaican family and they are cooking for him today and bringing him over dinner.

Awwwwww, that is sweet. Besides having his woman there, a home cooked yardie meal is all he can ask for tonight!!

Is it Friday yet?? I'm glad humpday is almost over. I don't know why but I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning apparently and the last two days at work have been pretty hectic. Tonight it will be Netflix & cocktails!

And finally, I wrote the embassy last Friday asking them to confirm that they received my SOs DS-230 & if we can get an interview date and still no reply....is it time for me to write again and put '2nd request'??

Ellis, My hubby had drop his off too, the embassy actually emailed me two days later with an interview day and he got his letter in the mail like a week later.

Yes its definatly time for a second request, I emailed the ds-230 forms because I was bugging the heck out of them so they told me to do that and they were pretty nice about it. The same day I emailed the ds230 they emailed me packet 4 so he did his medical monday.
