I need ur input. My daughter called my hubby by his first name. Back in Jamaica u never call a person older than u by their first name. I dont know what to tell my daughter to call him?

this is tough...was ur hubby here when ur daughter was born? Kimora was almost 2 when her dad came ..and she calls him daddy...so mi no know wah fi seh

do u call him daddy around her? do u say go give (1st name) a kiss or whatever? or do u say go tell daddy this or that..or get daddy's hat?

This is the 11 year old. Not the 2 yr old. Its my daughter not his. My stepdaughter calls me mommy.

1luv; my son calls my husband by his first name or his nickname, he don't mind. My husband doesn't want him calling him daddy, but when my son introduces him to his friends he says, this is my step-dad.

Same here. Daughter calls hubby by his first name but introduce him as her step-dad to her friends. When she's mad at us or PMSing (teenage girl horomones) she refers to him as "your husband" instead of Damien

Ha...that is funny!

Me too! Is he calling you from Charlotte? That is a nice airport if he has a layover - great shops there, you can even get a massage - Are you doing anything special at the airport?

I doubt he will call me from the airport he didn't even call me this morning. I guess I will just talk to him when he gets here. Nothing special at the airport but my daughter and I made him a Welcome Home sign, I got him a little gift (a key chain from Tiffany's with the house and car keys on it) I am friends with a Jamaican family and they are cooking for him today and bringing him over dinner.

gILL..$8000 TAX BREAK? wi $13 dollar suppose to add up to $8000 somehow?

If your a 1st time home buyer and buy your home before 12/1/09...You can write off up to $8000 property taxes when you file!

It's a pretty good incentive! :luv:I LOVE MY PRESIDENT!!!!! :luv:

I got this from IRS.gov website:

Expanded Tax Break Available for 2009 First-Time Homebuyers

IR-2009-14, Feb. 25, 2009

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service announced today that taxpayers who qualify for the first-time homebuyer credit and purchase a home this year before Dec. 1 have a special option available for claiming the tax credit either on their 2008 tax returns due April 15 or on their 2009 tax returns next year.

Qualifying taxpayers who buy a home this year before Dec. 1 can get up to $8,000, or $4,000 for married filing separately.

“For first-time homebuyers this year, this special feature can put money in their pockets right now rather than waiting another year to claim the tax credit," said IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman. “This important change gives qualifying homebuyers cash they do not have to pay back.”

The IRS has posted a revised version of Form 5405, First-Time Homebuyer Credit, on IRS.gov. The revised form incorporates provisions from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The instructions to the revised Form 5405 provide additional information on who can and cannot claim the credit, income limitations and repayment of the credit.

This year, qualifying taxpayers who buy a home before Dec. 1, 2009, can claim the credit on either their 2008 or 2009 tax returns. They do not have to repay the credit, provided the home remains their main home for 36 months after the purchase date. They can claim 10 percent of the purchase price up to $8,000, or $4,000 for married individuals filing separately.

The amount of the credit begins to phase out for taxpayers whose adjusted gross income is more than $75,000, or $150,000 for joint filers.

For purposes of the credit, you are considered to be a first-time homebuyer if you, and your spouse if you are married, did not own any other main home during the three-year period ending on the date of purchase.

The IRS also alerted taxpayers that the new law does not affect people who purchased a home after April 8, 2008, and on or before Dec. 31, 2008. For these taxpayers who are claiming the credit on their 2008 tax returns, the maximum credit remains 10 percent of the purchase price, up to $7,500, or $3,750 for married individuals filing separately. In addition, the credit for these 2008 purchases must be repaid in 15 equal installments over 15 years, beginning with the 2010 tax year.

Gill,

It's seems that your boys have a good time with Ken. Are you planning on visiting Jamaica soon?

LOL...yeah they do! Ken is mad old school although he is only 28! So, every morning he has his expectations of what and what the boys should be doing or need to do before they go to school...han em come in like wan drill Sgt.! So they catch-up every now and den. But, it's nothing wrong em a tell dem! But for the most part they really respect and love their Steppy! He coaches their soccer team and we do family game night once or twice a week! My eldest son adores Ken! Follows him EVERYWHERE! My youngest...he's a Mama's boy :luv: so he 'tolerates' Ken! But they still have love for each other!

As far as JA..Ken is trying to plan a extended weekend for us in August, when the boys are in DC with my Sister for a week. It will be wholly hell when they find out we went to yard w/o them!!:lol:

My mission for this year is to BUY A HOUSE and file for KJ (Ken's son). With the $8000 tax break that Obama is offering I want to be able to take advantage of that and the low housing $$ right now! So for me JA is not on the radar (as much as I wish it were :crying: !) But Missa Young has other ideas!

Gill

Pssssstttttttttttttt....Mr. Young must be talking about the twin girls...no baddah tell Gill

NOT A RASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! Yuh cyan kindly guh tek yuh Pssssssssssttttttttttttt somewhere else! ...wan pickney hat ah time han right ya now it's lil KJ's time!!

I REALLY want him up here!! His Mom seems to be really struggling to physically tek care of him without Ken! We send $$ every month, but she's ready to fly the coop and do her own ting han KJ seems to be holding her back! (Don't even get me started) So before mi guh threw the ten ton ah hargument...mi jus prefer fi bring mi likkle bwoy hup yahso and complete the family once han fuh all!

good morning

Dillon, it's almost lunch time, the work day will soon be over!

Not if you don't come in until 9am. Then you're at work until 6pm. :(

But I rather sleep in than get off early, so I'm ok.

Does Kashi want more kids?

Our plan is to start trying at the end of this year. I'm nervous...afraid of the pain of labor.

Good luck! I want to start in 2.5 years, but Steven wants to start YESTERDAY. I'm like, let's at least wait until we're married!

I need ur input. My daughter called my hubby by his first name. Back in Jamaica u never call a person older than u by their first name. I dont know what to tell my daughter to call him?

Does it bother him? I've been calling my mother by her first name for many years. She doesn't mind because she thinks it makes her seem younger. When people ask her how she has children in their 20s, she tells them we're her husband's children (we're hers too). However, one day I called my father by his first name. :o He was not having that.
