Sus for the coughing take a spoonful of honey. It will help ease the coughing. This is an old home remidie

Thanks Roxcie - right now I am drinking an herbal tea called Breathe Easy by a company called Traditional Medicinals - seems to be calming the spell. I swear, these teas are the best in the world -

Sorry Sus! Do you have bronchitis or something else yucky? Do you have an inhaler or anything? Or is it just the post-nasal (sorry for TMI) drip irritating your throat? If it's the drip thing, drink a ton of water and that will ease it. Did they give you or recommend any cough medicine? Hope you feel a lot better tomorrow! Just take it easy tonight and rest yourself.

It's the TMI choice of post nasal drip, lol - but I am worried about bronchitis because I am prone to that - and croup, oddly enough - that's why I was so insistent with the dr today -

Yes, the weather has been beautiful....still a little chilly at night but the days are great! We're supposed to get some rain possibly starting tomorrow but I won't complain. It was nice having all the windows and my front door open all weekend!

I love those teas....I've tried the different ones they make and they are effective.

I hate getting bad bouts of bronchitis....I have an inhaler that I use when things get real bad. Nothing more miserable than not being able to breathe and feeling like your airways are closing up. Before I had an inhaler, I used to buy that stuff (can't remember the name now) that truck drivers would take to stay awake and take that. It always wired me up but since I could actually breathe at that point, it allowed me to get some sleep even if I was buzzing along.

Oh man.....that is awful! Poor guy! Why does everything have to take so dyam long there???:wacko:

I just could not live in the parts of the country that get snow like that. I don't know how some of you manage. I like visiting snow for a day or two, but then I like to go home!

With how tired I am, you'd think I partied like crazy this weekend and there was none of that! -_-:dead::sleepy::clock:

It's so ridiculous how almost every half hour on the hour I've been checking my e-mail for a reply from the embassy. I wrote them Friday and I'm trying to see if we'll have an interview date soon or what needs to be done next. I realize I have to give them a little time to review things but I'm antsy....even if the date isn't until June, I just want to know ASAP so I can start planning & shopping for my plane ticket!

Ells, keep at it I sent them the same e-mail two or three times until I got a response.

i have just returned from the mall, shopping for mother's day. i found Welcome to the Sacred Sisterhood of Wonderful Wacky Women and it reminded me of my VJ family, i think i will send it to Ryon's mom..... :innocent:

Their friendship is a Sacred Sisterhood........

A tapestry of joy one to another.

Through marrieages, children.

Triumphs and tradegies

They have leaned on each other.

Facing challenges together with

Empaathy, joy, sorrow.

And more than a few fits

Of irrepresssible laughter.

With hearts knit together in unity and love.

This friendship of wonderful wacky women

Is a blessing they will never take for granted.....

A sisterhood that will last forever

I beleive.....the only way you can have/get a jamaican passport is if you become a citizen by marriage vs resident by marriage. There is more work involved with becoming a citizen...also, Jamaica is ok with dual citizenship but the US isn't so it is something that you don't want the US to know about....

The US has no problem with dual citizenship with Jamaicans.....

It doesn't until you want to work for the US gov'ment which requires a TS clearance. You can still get it but it will take forever. Alot of employees have issues obtaining clearances with dual citizenship.

Jamerican - good luck to you and keep us posted. I'm passed over a job in Kingston two years ago....still upset about it
