I know I need to just jump in.

Yup, you cannot be shy or quiet in this crew - just dive in and yell if no one chats back to you!

Hey Ladies,

I am finally going home been at work 12 hours Ughhhh!! Have so much to take care of before I leave because no one here does what I do and they will all be looking at my desk like  if someone needs to follow up on somethign while I'm away. I just told them to call me on my JA # LMAO we will see if anyone actually attempts to do this ha!

Congrats SUS I know you got it!

Congrats Lovesponge that is sooooooooooooo wonderful, you are almost there

Ok I'm out have to try and make it back to Philly ( I work in NJ) before Greys Anatomy and Stella! LOL

Too bad I didn't read this sooner Grey's was a repeat..

But ER had a good ending. I'm sad to see it go but it was nice seeing everyone who was ever a DR again...

Congrats Lovesponge!

So, - what do you all think of this?

http://www.negrilstories.ca/index.php?pr=The_Rasta_Shuffle

I read the whole article... except for some skipping over the repetitive depressing numbers. I feel so sad and powerless when I read stuff like this. What can I do to help the situation? Giving individuals money (buying stuff I don't need) isn't helping longterm. But I will say the article caused me to think about the AIs differently. I'd never considered how much they take in, compared to the poverty of the locals. Makes me not want to recommend AIs to anyone anymore.

Once I figure out which of Steven's 3 chips can be topped up today so we can talk, I'll discuss this with him. Perhaps being on the inside, our SOs may have ideas on how to "save" Negril.

Nat, I always seem to identify with your posts :D

He lost one of the 4 chips :crying: so we can't top up till Saturday and it's killing me...

Buying stuff I don't need... I do that a LOT in JA... I buy stuff just to see the smile on a face sometimes...

I have never stayed at an AI, and I doubt I ever will... I love Jamaica, and her people... the article makes my stomach ache, for real...

what to do? wish I knew... buying shells and staying local is just not enough...

Morning all! So so so so so happy it's Friday!

Happy Friday to you as well Sus and all of our other members or the Yardies!!! I hope everyone have a wonderful weekend!! :star:

For Africa to me... is more than a glamorous fact. It is a historical truth. No man can know where he is going unless he knows exactly where he has been and exactly how he arrived at his present place.

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

Mrs P, i got a job interview on Monday to do SA counseling, im thinking do i really want to trade in one dysfunctional group for another one which has more headaches because of the manipulation factor involved with some SA'ers.
