Ok details details lol

Well yesterday morning he was making breakfast when I came out the shower. I was heading to the kitchen to help him and he said...wait right there. Me, being nosy and VERY stubborn, told him no and that I was coming in..but something kept holding me back. So i threw a fit yelling and cursing asking wat he was hiding and screaming we're about to get married and ray ray ray.

So he came in the living room, put his hands on my shoulders and said exactly we soon married so its time u stop the foolishness and stop worry yuh head! So i stormed in the room and started fixing my hair and getting ready to leave. So he came in the room and said yuh nah eat someting b4 we leave? mi fix breakfast fi yuh....when I went into the dining room there was a plate of eggs and calalloo, bread and some chocolate tea. He had shaped the bread to spell I LOVE YOU. I started balling like there was no tomorrow!!!

So my cousin came with the car and we headed to the Registrar's Office. It was busy in there as thats the place where people can get birth certificates, passports, etc. We were called to the back room and in there was a beautifully lit arch and spring backdrop. We sat at a table with our two witnesses at each of our sides. The minister had all the paperwork filled out ahead of time. We introduced ourselves and our occupations.

We started with prayer and then we stood under the arch as we said our vows. As Lance said "to love and to cherish" he held my hands tighter and I could see the eye water starting. I lost it and started crying once again!!! The minister said "dont cry until couple years from now when you're in the delivery room" we were both nervous and excited and the minister really helped keep us smiling.

After the ceremony and the signing of the marriage certificate, the minister told us that although we are married we must remember to keep our friendship alive and strong. :star:

AWWWW...mi a bawl... :crying: That was sooo sweet! My favorite part was the bread spelling "I LOVE YOU" See how we women get all razzle dazzled and can nearly mess up a moment with our yelling!

MrsP...its so funny how us women tend to overreact sometimes not knowing what the outcome really is lol.

Another thing the minister said that touched me was that although we were not married in a setting among hundreds of people in "wedding attire" with a bridal party...the most important thing is that our marriage was before God and that we were united with God. And IMO that's all that matters :)

Woo hoo Honey! JA Trip! You should be able to find some good fares if you play with the dates...if you can try to leave on a Thursday instead of a Friday

Honey, let me tell you, if I lived in Florida, I would be in Jamaica every 10 days, until Joel gets here. So go girl, I know D will be happy. These short trips are good too, I wouldn't have traded this weekend for nothing.

I agree about the short trips...I think from now on I'm going to take more frequent short trips instead or longer drawn out ones...I wanna save up my vacation time

im going to see what i can manage far as a fare, i was on Hotwire last night... and they had good fares and then USAIR which i havent flown before has some 88 dollar fares one way, so hopefully i will find something decent. I just figured that was the only way i wanted to spend my birthday this year.
