I GOT MY (L) !!!!

YAY!

Yeah, they said they need someone yesterday. I hope they hire a manager soon, cause for now I will be reporting to the VP that's station in CT. And getting trained by the only other analyst that's also located in CT. I just pray that it will all work out fine.

Don't worry Portland, it WILL work out! We have faith in you!

I need a great April fools joke to play on my hubby tomorrow, anyone have any idea.... I cant say I am pregnant cause I use that one everyday!

This is a cruel (and juvenile) one, but here goes. I have a sick sense of humor so please forgive me. Call and get the number for your local morgue. Tell your husband someone called and left him a number to call back, then give him the number for the morgue.......The rest is priceless.

Oh that's cruel!

Well, I'm not laughing at myself for being worried cause even though he did it, there was still problems!

He's finally done with the embassy, it took 2 hours!! They're driving around now and since he didn't make it to the ministry, he's going first thing in the morning. Now they have to figure out what to do the rest of the afternoon and evening with no 'fun money' and figure out where to sleep tonight. He has one friend who lives there and stayed at his house on my last trip for a few days so I told him to hit the guy up to return the favor. I didn't know anyone was staying in the bottom house and it really surprised me when some random guy is in the yard while I'm just coming out of the outdoor shower!

Ells I am glad you SO made it on time I was getting worried. Did he have to bring passport photos I think I heard something about passport photos.

He didn't need passport photos for just dropping off the DS-230. It's strange though, he went inside to drop off the forms and actually had to answer several questions as they took his forms. It was almost like a mini-interview or something. He sat and watched people go through the interview process and said he saw plenty of people get turned down....even saw a guy who was already married trying to get the K-1 visa and when the people in the room heard him and his denial, they all started laughing! I don't know if this is usual procedure but I guess he got it done! Now he knows the drill and what we'll be going through so that's kind of a bonus. They gave him the packet 3 he asked for and said there's a form I'll need to fill out and send in so we can get our interview date. This also seems strange but I'm waiting till he gets home so we can figure out what that is then. I may have already filled it out but I need to see what it is first. Now he'll go to the ministry first thing in the morning to take care of his police certificate and then finally back home....hopefully with no more problems!

Morning all!

Ells, isn't the form that is in packet 3 the DS-230? Maybe he's confused - under normal situations (which we all know this process is not, lol) he would have gotten the packet 3 in the mail, filled out the DS-230 and returned it, then been scheduled for the interview - you shortcut that by having the DS230 already

Heyyy Jengles!!

How life ooman???

So I guess you moved to Boston?

How is your son dealing with the change??

Glad to see you!

Hi Everyone,

I'm finally signing in on my own computer instead of using my cousin's. I guess I need to change my location to boston from nyc.

I see new names now and wish everyone well on their visa journey. Hubby and I are still on ours; we did the k-3 route and he will have to renew his k-3 as his AOS, probably won't be done in time. we were trying to have his kids come up here on a k-4 but and then it would have only cost $600 to have them adjust if they put in their papers with his, but of course the kingston embassy would not cooperate with my plans :innocent:

but i am sooo happy that i'm going to ja in may, I haven't been since before the baby was born and she will be two this year!!

Just seen the discussion about photographers in Jamaica, if anyone does want a photographer in Jamaica, check out some of my work, would definitely be open to go down to cover weddings there. And would not be charging anywhere near $1400 either!
