Well, I got up a little while ago but didn't sleep cause I was COLD! So I just sort of rested for a couple hours. Still nice to not be sitting at my desk at work!

Lawny I have a baby Ackee tree growing its only about 1 1/2 feet but one day I'll have me some Ackee LOL

I also and beginning to prepare my calaloo seeds scotch bonnet pepper and pumpkin seeds hopefully I have some sprouts soon!

That's awesome that you can grow ackee where you are! I wish we had that kinda climate cause I know I'd be smuggling over a tree shoot! I wonder if callaloo will grow here??

Thanks KK, but my SO is already home with me, and he wont eat cereal unless he has tin milk to go with it.

Damien is the same way...only eats corn flakes. Every day he pours sweet tin milk and flakes in a glass..put it in the fridge then eat/drink it later....it drives me

Eewwww! Soggy corn flakes! :dead::lol:

no laughing...........but it TASTE SOOOOOOOOO GOOD!

:dead: He eats/drinks it like it's his last meal...I have to leave the room

:rofl::rofl:

Yup I'm a gardening crazy person I even have my oldest son hooked, I need to take a pic of the Dread with his machete in our mini gully. My banana plants are coming back up now they were wintered and hibernating but I have large shoots now. I'm so excited about the spring and my plants! I grow plants at our home in Kingston too I will miss them but I'm digging them up and taking them to country LOL to my family home to continue growing My Hubby was like what huh? I said ummmm yeah we are digging them all up

How are you able to get the plants here? Cause isn't that supposed to be a 'no no'? I won't tell on you, I just wanna know how I can get away with it!:lol:

Shemmy....try just a little bit of the cereal...do you eat blue draws

has any one tried blue draws or toe toe (it's spelled another way)

They were supposed to mek me try it but maybe next time....I was looking forward to it too!

Shemmy,

Quanna you look soooooo happy in that pic we see all your pearly whites

i know girl.. my curse, everybody calls me KOOLAID LOL

 But I like the knew pic too!

hello peeps, I have a question about the I-129-F paperwork

There is no street address for where he lives which makes this form a little confusing..

Here is what I did:

I put his "community" under (Address Number&Street)

I put his town under (Town or City)

I put his Parish under (State or Country)

I put "Jamaica WI" under (Zip/Postal Code)

is that correct?? :help:

Also, what is an A#?

Thanks

Don't need to put anything under zip code we don't have one...I put my SO Post office Box, then the district (city or town), country (Jamaica) for the place of birth (I used the city that's on his birth certificate)

Thanks

There is not a Post Office Box Number per say...

So I would just put the "Town" Post Office in the Address line and then Jamaica in the state or country?

No need for the parish info?

sorry

I really am brilliant, trust me :D:lol:

No, we don't have PO box number, well, where I lived we don't have one. On question #15, you'll need the parish (under State or Province)...you'll need to put his post office info on the form.

And now he decided that he doesn't like the tea bags here so he boils orange skin, rosemary, ginger, etc. whatever he can find to make "real tea"

:lol: I love these tales! I can't wait till I get to tell something silly like that! Of course, I don't blame him really, the bush tea I've had there is usually better than most bag teas!

It was my brother who was/is being negative. Get this from a guy who moved to Germany and married his German wife less than a month after he got there. Hmmmmm can we say German greencard? Or whatever they have. He is holding my first marraige over my head for not working out and is judging this relationship on that one. Anyways I just got off the phone with my Mom and she said I should do what makes me happy and that her and my Dad will be there whatever I decide and not to let my brother ruin my joy in my life right now. So I am back to my plan A. Of course she said she is concerned because she doesn't really know C but she said she has faith in me that I am making the right choice.

I'm glad your parents have your back and are supporting you and trusting that you can make good decisions. Forget about your brother! :bonk: He's just being a protective brother but don't let him get you down.

For mine I put:

P.O. Dias under number & street

Town under town or city

Jamaica under state or country

left zip blank

Put the parish under place of birth (i.e. town, parish)

Don't worry about the A#....you don't have one of those.

i do not like that milk ya'll LOL and then that drink nurtrimagen or something like that.. RG put it EVERYTING.. ya'll know i don't like guiness so he say put this in it, it taste better.. i was like.. UH NO..WORSE..

Me too Quana, me too! I still recoil at the thought of the drink someone mixed up once. Red bull, rum & magnum! BLECH!!!

Ells, what happened??? I missed it and cant find it.

He was on his way to drop off his DS-230 form early this morning and got into a fender bender around Mobay....he was rear ended and freaking out worrying that he failed me. But good news, he's at the embassy right now sorting things out and preparing to drop off his form!

Oh weird, they just did one of those drills at the elementary school down the road that sounds like the old siren for a nuclear missile headed your way!

I can't remember how to spell the other one kind of look like bulla cake (do you eat those)...I love bulla and pear or bulla and cheese

Unfortantely, we rarely eat homemade Jamaican food. The only foods I cook are curry shrimp and jerk chicken (he calls it American style  ). Damien adopted my terrible fattening eating habits when he first got here then ee started eating lots of American healthy foods. He'll cook but not many Jamaican dishes  Can't wait until his brother gets here...he can really cook. Maybe he can teach me.

That would drive me crazy. Marcel says his belly can't manage "yankee food"...thanks to Mich he loves doritos now...finally a snack he likes

You mean thanks to Ray. Ray loves Doritos...lol

Marcel does the same....all I can say is YUCK YUCKK YUCKKKKK, but almost all Jamaican men I know do that. It looks like baby cahcah

Ells, you can grow callaloo here. We grow it every year and you never have to replant it, it just comes up on it's own the next year.

NOOOOO!! LOL!! Now there's a visual I didn't need!

I'd love to grow callaloo but I think it might grow better on the East Coast cause the climate is a little more like Jamaica. Here it's kinda cool except for inland during the summer. And I don't know if anything will grow in my neighborhood most of the year. During the summer months, we have FOG! :crying:

Hey Ells,

I have mailed plants back but not all of them make it LOL and are confiscated it amazes me how I can get plants shipped and delivered 100% of the time from the Philippines but not JA. Oh well you win some you lose some, literally!

I winter my plants so in the winter the tubers I don't crate I keep the plants potted all through the house and it looks like a jungle LOL. You can grow the ackee but you have to bring it in way before 1st frost. the Callaloo you need to just keep your seeds and replant next year or if you have a greenhouse continue to grow there, well my greenhouse is all over my house LOL

I'm not going to bother with shipping my plants this time plus my Hubby is like what  ???, I'm just going to dig them and move them to country and let them grow at our house there. I love my plants and since we are giving up the house in Kingston, I don't know who will be eyeballing or neglecting my plants so my babies are going to country LOL

I also grow mint for tea too LOL I wanted to try and grow white yams since I buy so many of them but I had problems with some raccoons last year in my garden digging my potatoes and my son was running around with the machete trying to chop them! They just trampled my my trellises and stakes for my veggies and was making salad, I was hotter than fish grease! :ranting:
