Unless its on FB we never got the story of the surprise visit to JA this past weekend...

So when I visited Steven in February, we made a plan for me to go there one time before his interview, then again for the interview. He suggested that my next trip be a surprise. I LOVE surprises, so I was like, Sure!

I booked a trip for May 16, but then decided that was too long to wait, so I booked another trip for March 26. I didn't tell him that I'm actually going twice b4 his interview, though.

So last Wednesday night he called me from Alfreds, where he was with his friends drinking. I hoped that he'd have a hangover Thursday morning (Mar 26) so that he wouldn't be awake to call me in the morning. We usually chat several times through out the day, so I knew he'd get suspicious if I didn't answer or call him back.

Unfortunately, he did NOT drink enough to be passed out (Am I awful for wishing that?), and he tried calling me at home, work, & on cell all morning Thursday. He could tell that my cell was off, which was a first, and that worried him. After not reaching me for hours, he called my cousin to ask if I was okay. She knew I was heading that way and told him that I'd call him later. That didn't reassure him.

The plane landed around 12:15 & I finished going through immigration & having my bags searched at customs  by 12:45... but I still didn't want to call him cause he would've heard the airport sounds/reggae music in the background. Instead, I let the calls go to voicemail (and he left PLENTY).

I caught the shuttle to Negril, then caught a taxi to his place. He wasn't there, but his parents and others were around. His mother suggested that I walk to his game shop. I did, but he wasn't there. I called him and could tell that he was driving. He was worried/upset that I was just calling him. I wouldn't tell him where I was and got off the phone with him quickly. I walked back to his place and sat with his mother & her friend for a while. Then he called again and asked me all kinds of questions. I never want to lie, so I answered truthfully that I wasn't at work. He asked if I was by a man's house and I was (his!) so I told him that, but I wouldn't tell him whose house. He was getting SO MAD and I kept calmly saying "I won't tell you now, but I'll tell you later." Eventually he hung up on me! (a first). When he did, his mother, her friend, and I all laughed. A few minutes later, his mother called and told him that she had something for him. Less than 5 minutes later, he appeared. He drove up, saw me, paused... then parked the car, got out, and just stared. Then he started laughing as did the rest of us. I was like, "Told you I'd tell you later where I was!" From that moment on, we were inseparable until I left Sunday morning. :(

OMG Nat I love it , that was one the sweetest things ever I know that he was the happiest man on earth when he saw you on the veranda!

Hey ladies, Congrats Shanette. Welcome Rick Ross and Happy Monday to all.

Hey for all my fellow recessionista's, have any of you tried a lace front wig??? I am considering it because it looks easy to do and it is the new in thing I guess.

He said one more but um i dont know, my bio clock is ticking but then i have to be realistic, im not as young as i used to be, the thought of a baby is great but also as my kids get older, i become more selfish with my time and start thinking when they get older the things i will do with my life, once im not committed to running the two of them to all there practices and meetings and ish, every fricking day...

Honey I with you my BIO clock is ticking too, and as much as I trying to get pregnant I am scared and my boys are 14 and 15 and can I really imagine going back to diapers and breast feeding. My Husband does not have any children and I truly want to give him babies but is it wrong to be scared about the situation. Grant it I won't be alone but it seems like now I have freedom and not home babysitting all the time and to revert back to what was whooooooiiiiiieeeee. Who says I can't accomplish my goals with more children but thinking about it stresses me out, is that selfish of me......

Quana, I'm not really a cooker either. My mom calls me a "drive-thru mommie" whatever that means. Lately, though I've been having these domestic urges so I been doing a lil cooking but I'm a better baker. Thank God my SO (awww I can say my husband now) has loved (or at least he fakes very well) everything I've made. Nothing speculator, spaghetti, barbeque chicken, tacos (pregnancy craving have to have them twice a week) and all the bake goods. I think practice makes perfect. So keep at it Quana, you got it

I don't think I said this earlier but I liked your surprise story Nat!

Me and my mister are both a little excited today because he's going to drop off his DS-230 tomorrow and it's his first trip to Kingston. I'm praying for a safe trip and an easy time finding the places he needs to go!

Ells its a PISS HONEY off thang...LOL

That is the kind of mess that can lead to assumptions and you know with a person a trillion light years away, it is easy to take assumptions in the wrong direction, so even though it was quite rude on my part, i admit, it was better for me to just end the convo or we would probably still be fighting, with me doing the majority of the fussing.

I understand the frustration though Honey! Sometimes I get a little irritated and ask for more specifics.

i hope this works.. i have such a hard time w/ pics..honey remember mi sey i usually just think of my hair ideas, but these are some pics that come kind of close to what i was telling u about..

the first 3 are just ideas of different designs u can use instead of the TRADITIONAL cornrow pattern.. with my head shape.. i find that patterns that make the braid go toward the SIDE of my head instead of straight back compliment me..

the 4th one is to show how they can cornrow into rows and u have more versatility.. u can do 2 or 3 rows.. the top row could be worn back or tied up into a ponytail

the last is just to show the bun design.. i don't like the big cornrows but u use ur own design and just pin up the excess braid.. on the side,or straight back..

u could even do like the first pic and get a cornrow and then sew in a curly weave or put on a fake pony (curly or afro puff even)

aww man, they are out of order, hopefully u get the jist.

Those braid designs are just AMAZING! That is some real artistry there and I wonder if I'll ever be able to learn how to do simple cornrows let alone anything that is even halfway as complicated as that. Some of the styles they come up with are so cool!

Okay yall I'm really unmotivated. I only have two more files to complete today and they each take about 45 secs to complete, so I'm trying to spread it out.

Tomorrow is my daughter's birthday. She'll be two! I just can't believe how quickly time flies. She is so cute with her lil ways. She loves putting on "make-up" (not real but if I fake like I'm putting blush on her with one of my brushes, she gets so tickled), she is a pro at walking in high-heels and has to carry a purse when we live the house! She acts like she'll be twenty-two!! Yea, her and her dad just called me and she was just a talking. I couldn't make out 60% of what she was saying. O gosh I think I'm going to cry. That girl is my heart.

Okay well thats all the rambling I'm going to do for now.....

Happy B-day to your baby girl Nette!

Hey ladies i see you guys been chatting it up. lol

Hey Ells i'm good, just got done cooking my daughter was working my nerves  about cooking.... How are you doing?

I'm good, just antsy (in a good way) about this next step in the process. I know my mister is pretty excited because this is an adventure for him going to Kingston for the first time ever! But I'm glad he'll learn the way there so at least that'll be one less person stressing the day we have our interview cause he'll know where to go.

I do find it suspicious how sometimes these guys can be so VAGUE. Why can't you just tell me who or what so I can leave you alone after that? It's strange....is it a guy thing or a cultural thing??

I would say a guy thing more than a cultural thing. My best friend Cece and I have had conversations about how men seem to enjoy being difficult/contrary.

It's one thing I LOOOOOVE about my Steven. He lets me do stuff that most men wouldn't... like pluck all his facial hair. I LOVE using tweezers to pull out thick hair, and men have so much thick facial hair that you can pluck forever. My last bf let me try ONE time, then complained that it hurt and never let me pluck another. Steven even presents me with random thick hairs on his body that he knows I'll want to pluck. Hmm. Maybe this was TMI.

 Just a little TMI....but hey, that's what we're here for!

am good nells.. RG and I are still hoping for work to increase.. i am praying he can get some money saved by june, the girls will be w/ their dad and i would love for us to spend some alone time for a while..

the girls are doing great.. we have found our lil routine at the new place.. CAN YA"LL BELIEVE, wait, sit down, I COOKED EVERYDAY LAST WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

alot new guys on so maybe ya'll can't appreciate this statement, but old vjers know QUANA DONT COOK lol.. but mi pockets got dust in dem instead of green so mi affi do wha mi affi do LOL

the kids have really like my cooking too, i am so proud, "mama this is good!" i heard at least twice last week.. my poor babies are so FLABBERGASTED lol.. RG was so freaking surprised and proud of his ooman..

Dyam what the recession and a trifling baby daddy will have u doing???

Go Quana! Isn't it fun cooking and having people enjoy it? That's one of the things I enjoy the most about it and take pride in people complimenting the dish!

ok DaDA your right, cause as we speak im slightly perturbed at D, but i know i can be a peace of work. I am trying to learn to pick my battles but it aint easy, cause i can be a pain in the azz some days. Last night i text D, and said im heading to bed, well he didnt call right back and so i called him, he chats with me for like 2 straight minutes and said baby, can i call you back, im talking to a friend of mine... i said call WHO? ME? cause your talking to who? and im calling you from WHERE? and you cant call your friend back? so then i said ok well who are you talking too, and then he said baby i told you my fri___ ( CLICK) was my response to that... Ok so that was probably wrong but whatever, so then he called back a few minutes later but i didnt answer cause i knew i was gonna be ugly...

Hell.. i tell him who im talking too, cause its not that big a deal, so i felt like what its a big deal cause i asked!!!! hell you know all my dang business and last time i checked we were engaged..so it pissed me off...

But im working on it.....LOL

Oh I was screaming when I read this because this is something I would have. I woudl have been like they can wait. I feel like I tell Rocky everything adn then when it comes to him he keeps his answers to the point. Quana was chatting to me in e-mail tellin me I have to chill and stop pressuring my SO so much. I told her this is going to take some time. I'm working on it but still its going to take a minute.

Like now I just called SO and asked him was he off from work he said yes I'm at the hospital I was like the HOSPITAL for what. He said because he was light headed and blackout. So I was like oh were you light headed from not eating or something and he was like I dont know. So I asked him if he could call me when he was finished to let me know how it goes and he answered me with a dry yes. The Dada started to come out and I was like oh is it a problem calling me you dont want to and he was like Dada please dont start I'm not feeling well.. I just hung up cuz I knew the next words weren't going to be pleasant. (As she rubs her ears)Whooo Sahhhh Whoooo Sahhhhh
